THE FIM!

Day 17:

Today Righty got FIMmed..

Here are both plants before the FIM. Sorry about the blurry bottom left, my lens must have been a bit smudged today. Again, Lefty gets no FIM. She is ahead in growth, and will be allowed to grow out naturally with just the possibility of some LST.


Here is Righty before the FIM cut.

And here are some shots after the cut! Man, I hope I cut in the right spot!


So, after the cut I sprayed both plants with my spray solution, which consists of res water with a few drops of superthrive mixed in. Hopefully that will help mitigate the stress a bit and help prevent stunting. I also sprayed the hydroton well, and the rockwool a bit.

This is my first grow, so obviously it is my first attempt at a FIM. It looks very similar to fims I have seen all over the web, so hopefully it will pan out. I suppose I will know in 2-5 days. Stay tuned!

11 hours after the FIM cut:

I am happy to report that righty is even more perky now than she was before I did the FIM. She is standing up and reaching for the light. I take that as a good sign. I still don't know what I'll get from the FIM, but at least I know she isn't mad at me.. :Gold:

I think you just cut leaves bro.you see the 2 leaves that aren't cut. fold them up and cut.almost all the way off. bout 75%. so I also cuts the leaves that you cant see yet, there not grown enough to see yet. make sense.

Okay, I went ahead and cut it all a bit more. Here is the second cut(s).

Hopefully that will be enough. I probably screwed it up. lol

I did a couple more little snips after the pics above off of the corners. If this works, I will know exactly what it should look like next time.
