Dutch Passion Groff Labs: 16x AutoUltimates - 1 nute bottle battle + light schedule test + timelapse

Thank you :bighug: yeah, I recently got back into it, though I'm really starting to get pissed off by blurples as I mentioned above. Really messes with the end result no matter what white balancing and color correction I use. I'm doing a timelapse of this very grow, so stay tuned.

In the meantime, you can check out my other videos here -> http://www.youtube.com/c/WillyGroff and if you enjoy feel free to subscribe to get notified of new content.

Cheer bro :pass:

I am indeed quite impressed at new quantum board ratings for sure. Just need a way to justify the cost. My current lights are quite competent and I'm not trying to break any world record. Right now the #1 compelling argument is noise. How I dream of a noiseless indoor grow room!

That is why I have that gigantic carbon filter and 350mm fan, that I use a transformer based speed controller to slow down. Massive negative pressure with extremely low noise and zero hum.

My current blurples make a ton of noise, despite having modded one MS006 and the Platinum LED with Noctua silent fans, I still have the 400w and the other 180w MS006 with stock fans making a heck of a lot of noise.

What lights are you using @Trichome farmer? Trying to justify the cost as I don't sell any of my produce, it is all for personal use and family medicine.

iv used one 250w GN telos 008 and a 400w hps for the last couple of years but i just bought another telos last week so going 100% led i get what your saying about the money i think its worth it to invest in good quality lights they will last 8-9+years no problem and then there the efficiency numbers you could be getting more light for the same or less power and a nicer spectrum depending on the lights build but if your happy with what you have theres no rush to change things up do what works for you

Hell yeah! I've been eyeing the new Telos 10 Pro. GN is a great company, though fierce competition from chinese quantum boards... well, I'll think about it next round. Thanks for the input!

The life span of LEDs depends on how hard you run them. Run at mid power, they will last 5-7 years. run hard, they will degrade about 10% per 1.5 years. A 5 year old mid powered led with be down about 20%. In 5 years, efficiency should improve 10% or more, so that leaves your 5 year old boards 30% less efficient than a new one. I'd say 5 years is the point where the cost is worth the upgrade. If you run lights like HLG's QB board based lights you can replace just the boards and/or the driver, cheaper than replacing a light as you don't need new heatsinks, wiring, frame, etc.

That is one of the reasons I'm leaning towards GN. They're doing exactly that, offering an upgrade path on their Telos line. Other choices are Kingbrite for Samsung 301b's or the new Mars Hydro SP3000 (also 301b) that is in preorder right now. I've got time to think about it. After this run I'm taking a summer break until September

Greetings Groff, good to see you doing well! My best as always!

Hey Tony! Long time for sure. I've been in a hiatus
Shifting from hydro over to pure organics in preparation for next year. If all goes well I'll be doing outdoor diaries :yay: - wish me luck !

Not shown in this thread, but learning KNF techniques. Brewing my first LAB's as I type and getting into composting to raise worms, soon I'll be rocking no-till fully sustainable crops from here on - though indoors for the time being.

Shame about Covid, I was planning to meet and greet the DP team at Spannabis as before.

Hope everyone is safe and healthy!

Cheers mate :pass:

PS: sent you a pvt message ;)

yippe! ... temps peaking 32ºC :cuss::cuss::cuss:

Strangely, they're not complaining as much as I would have thought... so far at least.
