Broken the leaf
Tried to snap it in half (lst)
Dragged it in and out the house
Worrying about PH


No need to do any of that.


Ditch the soil for a start its shite for growing weed. And that is your issue here.


Just type into google "miracle gro and cannabis" and spend some time reading (hours rather then minutes) Then make your own mind up from the so many bad reviews your read, but also take note of the suggested replys for soil to use which are a lot more suited to growing. Note pad and pen and make a list while viewing different forums and then I suggest a morning spent at a local garden center, just go through and read the backs of each pack of soil or take a photo to read when back at home and see what each contains and in what quantity's and how long the nutrients in the soil last. Can even do it online but the garden center will have so much soil from different company's under one roof.


It should not need anything other then light, warmth and a little water and be that way for the best part of a month. Go buy some seedling soil that is designed for that purpose, your find most soils of this type will have nutes that last for 2-4 weeks, where as that MG crap has 6 months + worth and is why your plant is burning up. Your also find soil for older plants that have 4-6 weeks worth of nutes and then other soils for even older plants. A morning at the garden center is not wasted and they have some good offers to.


Then chill and let the plant just grow without messing with it to much. Learn to grow before bending and chopping parts of it as 8/9 maybe 10 weeks is a short life span and you have already messed 2 weeks of its life up. And forget about yield and ounces of bud and look to just get an 8th of smoke-able home grown anything more is a bonus then on grows 2,3,4 are where you start aiming for weight once you gain an understanding of what to do and not to do.

A good all round growing site where your find most of the recommended soils, nutes and info are from English growers. Which should make finding what you need in the uk easier. :thumbs:

Yeah, we sometimes feel (due to life and society) that more and more effort will yield better results...we have to remember that these plants do their thing without our intervention all the time. We just need to slow down and think in plant time.

Hi organic, first of all LOL at my actions done. now you've made me feel bad I joke. I have taken everything you've said on board, I messed up from the start and with the seeds currently germing I will not make those beginner mistakes! Just to amuse you, here is a picture of the FIM of my big bang. I actually missed and messed it up HAHA. Something compelled me to do it

Hand the scissors over to someone and don't touch them again till harvest lol

Dont go cutting it anymore... Keep the light 4-6 inch above the top of the plant and give it at least 3/4 days without watering. Let the soil dry out and the two leaves should stop drooping.

Just let it do its thing and the new growth will come through green. But get some new soil for your seeds that you have germin now and throw that MG soil in the garden. :smoke:

Amnesia Haze ... who am i ?

Smoked some Royal Queen Seeds amnesia haze once and it was almost like having mushrooms so i know what you mean, trippy and giggly ;+}

Zain - leave your plants alone! Seriously mate i know what it's like, i was like a worried mother my first few grows and it's hard to leave them alone.

Two things i'd like to point out :

1. Bon't use babybio, get some proper nutes, i'm in the UK too and i use Plant Magic Old Timers organic nutes.
2. Miracle Grow is crap compost, take it from me i used it - twice ! Get some Soil Supreme from Plant Magic, £15 for 50 litres, beautiful stuff.

Also, one H U G E benefit with organic soil and nutes is that you can use tap water and tell our old friend pH to eff-off and die ;+}

I've given my babies botched surgery :-( I'm giving her 1 week to snap out with new branches otherwise I'm scrapping and starting again.

Thank you for stopping by, I think I'll change the other big bang ive got growing, I think I used MG with that I can not remember, but it's only got one cotydelon, the leaves look so fragile and tiny! Will she pull through? What do u think about actually messing up the FIM technique?

I don't FIM or top autos so i don't know, AFAIK that's a photoperiod tactic but i've seen some do it on autos.

If i were you i would transplant to a higher quality soil and follow my advice above, i see loads of growers worrying about pH (like i did when i used standard compost) and i want to shout at them to go easy-organic (no home-brewed teas) as the soil acts like a buffer and balances pH.

I'm in Leicestershire and my tap water's pH is 7.(something high can't remember). After adding all my nutes it's 6.8 and the runoff is 6.4.

When i grew in London my tap water pH was 8.something but the soil/nute combo buffered it. Well worth doing.

Plant magic nutes (old-timers) are what I will be using this grow. Will be buying them in the next week or two. I decided against the plant magic soil as in less you have a supplier near to you (can check on there website) where you can go and pick it up, it works out at £20 per 50 ltr bag delivered < that is the cheapest I could find. And having bags of soil delivered to your house could seem a little suspect.

My last grow a few years ago, I got 150 ltrs of bio bizz soil delivered to my old house and the company did not even bother to wrap the soil in bin bags or anything they just sent them taped together in 2`s I was a little shocked when I opened the front door to the delivery driver struggling with them.

Jacks magic soil is what I am using this grow, this is almost like for like, after a lot of reading. It has almost the same % of everything contained within the PM soil as well as the seaweed. And cost £12 for 120 ltrs. The only real difference I can see / read is they use fytocell foam rather then perlite but I bought the perlite separate and added it to the JM.

Dont ditch the plant zain it will pull through, just let it dry out over the next few days / week. Then the new growth should come through a healthy green and as it gets older will stop burning up so much.

That is a lot of water for a seedling. It looks overwaterd to me. Never use a medium with nutrients in it for seedlings. Use sunshine mix or pro mix bx . I use nothing until the plant needs it.
