Hello everyone, I am a first time grower looking to grow a big yielding plant with everything I have read in terms of information within the past 2 months.

Growing: BIG BANG
Age: Surfaced on 26/04/2014
Lighting: 1 X 250W CFL and some days sunlight.
Pot: 30CM / 5 Litre
Temperature: between 22-28C
Watering: Once the first 2 inches of the soil is dry
Feeding: Just started on babybio 5 drops per pint of water.
pH: between 6.5 - 7.1 (a meter with 2 metal thingies to measure it, really unaccurate but I am not measuring pH or temperature that much.
Soil:MG compost, perlite added later on 01.05.14 as there was drainage problems.

She sprouted on 26/04/2014. Ii put her too low in the soil and had to brush away some of it in order to expose her to the sunlight.

IMAG0031.jpgI awoke to find some cotyledons had formed, I was chuffed, excited and imagining what harvest day would look like at 2am.

IMAG0034.jpgBy now I was checking the cabinet every day to see signs of growth, everyday was exciting to see the leaves get bigger and form a fan leaf shape.

I read up on LST and thought this was my moment to start it, little did I know the stem was so fragile and not strong enough to be supported at 90 degrees angle and became frustrated at my failed attempts to get it to secure in place.

On the 02.05.14 I flushed my plant as I saw the appearance of yellow spots, in the process I drowned my seedling, broke the baby leaf and started to cry as I thought I killed her. SAD TIMES trust me

IMAG0069.jpgI kept seeing new brown and yellow spots appearing on the leaf, at first I thought this was nute burn and decided to flush my plant with 3x the container size. I was expecting to see some results within the day, but instead I WAS LEFT with what you can see in the picture. A plant going more and more yellow and forming more spots.

I studied hard and well, I came across a forum with pictures to diagnose the plant, and have now decided it is asking for food. That's why I have started babybio giving 1/2 of the recommended doses. I am looking to see if this improves my girl.

This picture was taken today, 05/05/2014. She has been in sunlight for the last 2 days and I am leaving her outside to strengthen the stem with the wind that blows outside. I bring her inside and stick her under CFL until sunrise. As you can see from the picture, it was going well but I MESSED UP BIG TIME.

Would anyone like to comment? I have another seed in a pot, i check the taproot to see the health of it and it is growing. The MG compost has been flushed twice so there will be barely any nutrients in it, and have given it a mix with perlite at 60/40.

The new seedling will stay in british sunlight until harvest day comes along. If this attempt is also a failure I have Johns Inn seedling compost which has 3 weeks feed for the seedling ready at hand. I will kill off the plant I am currently doing and start afresh.

I thought it would be easy, but boyyy, big respect to the people who make it to harvest. I salute you.

I will update and keep this post as my grow journal, please feel free to comment or advise me and talk about your first grow with me.

Thanks for stopping by, hopefully we will see a harvest on this thread I have opened.

PEACE OUT

And here we go.... i did several Seedtest Runs for Gh Seed co. and the Big Bang Auto was one of em. From what i experienced thru the Tests was that She doesnt like high doses of Fertilizers. You should defo have an Eye on the Ph levels as i would rather blame it on a wrong Ph than on needs for Feeding. I had mine in Soil and rarely gave them nutes till 3rd week of Flowering. But beside that its a very easy to grow Strain.

Hi Medic Grower, firstly thanks for stopping by, I will go and buy a ph pen from B&Q tomorrow, thanks for your comments and i have a q regarding your yield on the BB, WHAT DID YOU HIT?

I did her in 2 Gallon Root Pouches with 250 w Hps and i had average 35 grams on them. But that was few Years ago when all that Automatic stuff started and there was no Knowledge bout the Lightcycles ect. i think nowadays i would pull a lot more from that Strain. What i still know is She kicked in hard and was a really gd Evening smoke. Very Fruity with a nice Indica Buzz.

I need an experts help, my pH levels are in between 7-7.4 I just tested the soil, not the run off, is this dangerous for my plant? Also how do I lower it to the optimal 6-6.5 range? I've heard lime or vinegar can be used to lower or increase ph.

What happens when ph is to high?

Just had a look at my plant which has barely formed 2 nodes, it smells of weed! Did not realise it until I went in for a closer inspection to my plants. If the smell is like this at 1 week, imagine when it's turned into a bush, let alone flowering!

I use Lime to drop my Ph. And yes Growing without a Carbon Filter is a extreme dangerous Hobby ;) I wouldnt do a run without one over here.

Will be posting a pic of what looks like nute burn and mag deficiency, if anyone else's opinion differs, please tell Me what you see.

Lime as in the fruit? Or garden lime / dolomite? I ordered it last night whilst high, don't know why I did probably subconsciously lol

The lime helps yeh? Wicked thank God I've got it arriving on special delivery.

I use the one for Food. Always worked out gd over here.

FIMing an autoflower at the age of just 12 days since surfacing. Noob mistake or cola haven?

Ive done it and will be posting pictures of my results. I've taken one just after the cut, and should I see any signs of new branches opening up, I shall be posting that too.

Also, my first set of leaves became brown and dried up, I cut the brown from them which took over half of the leaf, will it regenerate or will they fall off due to half missing?

Got a neutral pH woohooo. No sunlight today so she's under the CFL setup. Will it end up being a hermie due to the different light source changes? Who knows only time will tell.

Stay tuned for the FIM result in the next 2 weeks.
