Seed Stockers Grandaddy Confidential Kush (photo) by Slater

So the experience in autos has it helped or made it harder because they grow completely different? I can't wait to get into this lol almost makes me want to go photo instead of auto lol

Hey @Blalack55
glad you found your way over, pull a chair up sit back and watch the grow
Yes I would have to say that they have given me all the experience needed but that's just mainly growing canna experience. The main difference between the 2 is just light cycles and timings, auto's are seed to bowl in 3 month depending on strain and growing, photo's can be 4-5 months.
If you home growing just for your self then auto's is what ya need. If your a care giver then photo's will give you a consistent product by growing from clones.
I'm adventuring into photo's because I want to breed (and grow some genetics you don't find in auto form... zombie kush is one), and make my own crosses maybe even try and make some auto's along the way.

Welcome to the loft garden and welcome to this test grow of
Grandaddy Confidential Kush by Seed stockers

so whats the low down on the kush you say...

Grandaddy Confidential Kush is a classy 3-way cross of some of the best indica cannabis genetics currently available. The original genetics came from the acclaimed LA Confidential which was crossed with a special Grandaddy Purps . Both varieties have 20%++THC levels and are stable, highly appreciated varieties. The genetics were then crossed with an award winning O.G. Kush, this gives a delicious deep and rich Kush aroma to the final buds whilst maintaining THC levels around the premium strength 22-23%+ level. Plants tend to be medium hight with average stretch during bloom. Harvest quantities are well above average, but the beauty of this variety is in the quality of the high which is powerful and long lasting with a strong body stone. Grandaddy Confidential Kush is a popular variety for home growers, the award winning indica genetics are compact, high yielding proven and highly potent. This is another THC rich variety popular with concentrate fans due to the high oil content. Incredibly satisfying and relaxing to smoke/vape, a premium quality feminized photoperiod variety in the Seed Stocker collection which you will want to grow again and again.

Sound cool doesn't it... that's why I chose it as the beginnings of my adventures into photo growing (along side my auto growing :headbang: ).

Big thank you to @DutchPassionTony for the opportunity to grow seed stokers, with Dutch Passion behind them you know its gonna be some good genetics.

So let get this grow on the road...

All 6 dropped in RO water for 12hrs, now in a damp paper towel in dark warm place... I will leave that up to your own imagination.

see you in few days for the dropping into the pots pics

That's a cool strain!

I've got my eye on 5 as well... what I'm looking for (if there is a keeper) is something that doesn't stretch to much, a shorty, my new tent is only 145cm high (120x90x145). I want a lady than can scrog well but not stretch more than 30cm and of course have good smoke and yield... I got to say this, so far these girls are best plants of there age to grace my tents, the growth on them is vigorous and strong... being my first photo grow I can now see the lack of rudrials in the genes, bigger leaves, slower stronger growth. They make me feel like they are going to do well, most auto have me on my edge of my seat until end of flower, these lady just say I'm going to kick ass get me in that flower room.
Size is the luxury problem with photos.
I grow autos in a 1x1x2m and photos in 60x60x160cm. The photo grow is most for the fun of it. To keep them within my small space I use 6,6 L pots.

The pot thing was a good idea keeping them small at first when i was in soil but with my new feeding regime and treating the coco like hydro, 5ltr or 10ltrs gives me the same size plant. Its all about the veg time for me and training.

Thanks @RamboGarden starting to dial the remo nutes in, little is more as the saying go's...

Another UP DATE to make up for being slack, photo's taken today... a few hours ago.

You can see the new tent build better in this pic

That manifold you see in the pic I DO NOT RECOMMEND for irrigation... that is my 4th in 3 months. They all spring a leak, they are design for air not water no matter what the hydro shop says. I'm limping this one through just about with aluminum tape. I have another design to try out on my next run.

I even have a white board... if ya interested this is what the girls are on, all remo, the BB stands for Big Bud by Advance nutes and the S is for silicon which I mainly use to ph up. I'm thinking of lowering it a little on the next rez top up to about 1.4 / 1.5 EC.

here's a good tip... are you growing in a cold UK loft like me, water rez getting cold now the winter is here. Well the answer is to use a fish tank heater. I have one on a timer, comes on 45mins before a feed and switches off as the feed starts. Water temp up to 20c in no time. Top job, no more purpling stems... well pleased with my self on that one

Day 19 of flower

The lady's had their hair cut yesterday, was a sorry state of affairs and it was a little bushy down stairs to say the least but we managed to trim them up. Now we have some light penetration.

All looking good today and starting to recover from the ordeal, I expect it to be a jungle again in few days.
