What provider are you with to be that cheap as i wish mine was...even my COB's at 200w cost me more than that :p on 20/4 schedule its more like 80/90p as i believe its a 300w draw or something for the mars600...

0.3kW x 20 hours x 14.4p = 86.4p still silly cheap in comparison to HID lights though!

scottish power im with mate,on prepay. i averaged it out over 2 weeks before i turned the lights on at 1.30 a day and its only went up 30p. cost a fiver a day for heating so that makes up a wee bit lol

sounds bloody good wish i had it! down by me the rates at 14.4p a kWhr which must be a bit more expensive than your paying...you got electric heating as well? We have a like 14kW electric boiler and fuck me its expensive to run...wish I had kept my grow in my bedroom for the warmth :P

What's up guys!? What makes these gn's so darn good?! I did some brief research that came to a halt once I realised price and availability. I just need to know what makes these guys pull the numbers they do. Cheers and peace.

I have a "kill-a-watt" meter, and my wardrobe uses 160w total with two COBs and a small usb fan. I use this calculator to check my consumpion;
http://m0ukd.com/calculators/electricity-cost-calculator-kwh/

Works only if You know your price for kwh..
So for me ( I run autoflowers on 24/7 lights for steady temps) it tells me It'll cost me 16,35euros per month to run my setup.. Not bad in my book :)

Here is a picture;

I'm not that intrested in my electric bill or grams/watt.. I calculate the cost to what it would cost me to buy weed of the street(ridicilous prices).. So for two moths worth of leccy, I'd get 2-3grams if I'd buy it..

We went from a 25000btu AC in bedroom window to a 5000btu ac. Saving so much energy use, I can have a second tent and still use less electric then I was. So as of now, my setup is saving me money... im still negative electric lolol!!

As @Coffee&Kush replied white light cobs are the way to go. Check out cobshop.net and the AutoCob. Affordable and it will produce monster plants.
I just received another one in the mail yesterday. :woohoo:
