New Grower Grams per day

I dont think any single indoor operation could survive against the mighty sun. Where supply/demand comes to a a balance of course. But for now, as you experienced growers do, autos wont exceed empty slots of veg rooms or balconies, huh?

Trapper, while i agree with you about efficiency, i dont think market conditions evolve different than other commercial crops. There will be an increasing demand for connoseiur quality for sure and this will increase overall quality of the product in mid/long term but mainstream production which i believe to be outdoor will be the one defining market conditions.

In Canada as a result of changes to the law we have a commercial grower starting up almost around the corner from me . This is going to be an indoor grow in a now vacant industrial property . This is going to be a reasonable large grow and if memory serves me correctly about 200,000 square feet but don't quote me on these numbers . They haven't released too many details but it sounds like this is going to be state of the art . Defiantly going to be of interest maybe they'll give me a plant tour .
I agree. It will also take more adoption of LED technology as well, but that is starting to happen. It may happen when we see the right grower venture into new territory, I'm sure someone will try it, and as I say, in climates where greenhouses can run all or most of the year without lighting, it has a better potential of adoption.

My measurement advice fails indoors i know. However, legal indoor/greenhouse commercial production constitutes a really small part of the whole. Its all about ecomonics as it goes. Do u think it will take much time for south american countries to reap the benefits of currently monopolized us market? Think about Uruguay. They will be growing acres in no time.

Private grows are limited and there is no commercial grow in Uraguay, to my understanding. The governemt will run/control the grows I see no competition there. And I don't see the government here ever allowing cannabis to be imported from anywhere. And if prices ever get driven down to where they should be, there's be no incentive for omports or a black market. Actually, states are moving to requiring grows all be done indoors in greenhouses for commercial grows, easier for the state to control your grow limits, harder for thieves to steal etc. This is why the cartels are moving to more heroin ans cocaine, profits are falling on weed.

The only thing that would keep autos from commercial use would be cloning. I expect that cloning would be the way a large commercial grow would run. Cloning can fill out a crop quicker and would provide consistent quantity and quality. It is my favorite way to produce a crop ATM.

Anyone know if this is a good assumption?? I am truly curious.

I think that's the best point yet.

I saw a video of one of Colorado's growers. He was producing 300 clones at a whack. I remember the scene because the guy sent to take clo0nes was bitching about doing it....lol!

My most recent grow of Tha Shiznit has me seriously re-examining this issue.
I have been doing cost benefit analysis for a while, trying to determine the best plan of action when our state becomes legal.
Until this last grow, I would have estimated a 200g max avg for an auto grown under my conditions.
I will definitely be watching the next round of auto strains, as I think it would be foolish to rule them out.

I am not saying I would only grow auto's, but I think, depending on the scale one is growing, auto's may provide a very good resource to expand your offerings.

Most people running cloning ops have a veg room that operates 18/6 -24/0 anyway. So why not devote some of that space to auto's.

Bingo!!

That is just my thoughts at this time. Up until now I have been playing around with it but I think I have the basis for just that kind of set-up. A veg tent, a flower tent, and a mother/clone/seedling cab. I just need to figure out how to properly schedule production. I love my autos and they will always be my favorite, but to have a decent room full of mothers and clip, clone, grow it's away we go! As soon as this and the next run of autos are done I am starting some emdog from HSO and girl-scout cookies from ?? (need to look). Then I will see what I need to do to always have something flowering in the flower tent and an auto and a cutting vegging in the veg tent. Man ain't this stuff a hoot!!!
