Hey,
I'm a first time grower and got some auto flowers; Blue Mammoth and Devil Cream. Seeing as its my first I'd love some advice. Right now I'm looking at pretty good growth, though it's not as leafy as I imagined. Its been three months on a 18-6 light cycle with growth nutes and they have already started to show signs of bud growth. I've been told switching to a 24 hour light cycle until they grow more foliage would be the answer, but seeing as its an auto flower I'm not sure it will change the growth rate at this point. Any tips on how to prolong growth and induce more foliage? Any advice would be appreciated!
Thanks,
Sunshine

What are you using for light? I have to say for ninety days I see no bud at all bro. Start and read on here and read and read some more bro. Welcome to AFN time get your grow on bro

Welcome to afn! If they are 90 days then they are severely stunted and usually thats a ph issue. They seem abit stretchy probably cause of your lighrs. If cfls you need to drop them close as you can to top of your girls. Ive stunted one before prety bad and she bounced back. Yeild was pretty bad but smoke was just as good, just finished a week or 2 later.

I'm using cfl, and they are less then an inch over the tallest plant she just kept going and I had to top her off to let the rest catch up. Looks like its probably a pH issue then. Going to be cloning a few and tossing then outside hopefully they do a little better. There isn't a significant amount of bud growth but the signs of flowering are starting. Hopefully pH'ing the water will help fill them out more

You cannot clone autos. Most autos should be done in a ninety day period bro. I hope the best for you. Feminized Autos are suppose to automatically go into flower around the 15 to 30 day mark and be done around 70 to 100 days depending on the strain.

You said devil cream auto, as in the ones from sweet seeds? If so I've personally haven't heard of anything about them not auto flowering specially at three months that you are, have any more pics maybe closer, maybe mix up of seeds. It's just weird as sweet seeds have all auto as far as I seen

Sorry for such a late reply, I was out tree planting. They're 1.5 months into flower now, I thought I had just seen the signs of it beginning the process of flowering before I left. I can say I'm not impressed. The one seed is floppy with a weak stem, and the other seems to be deficient is some aspects... The stem is only 1.5-2 inches tall with leaves branches that only grow three wrinkly little leaves. But the colour is such a deep purple that I'm willing to give them another chance

I'll send you a comparison from my sweet seeds -devil cream to my blue mammoth. Both ordered and planted at the same time. Devil cream is apparently a new strain that I wanted to try

The first thing you learn with Autos, ..is they are on a timer

in your case its about times up

as in most cases 90 days they should be harvested

once you are satisfied with the color of trics you desire

your main issue here is poor shitty lighting

if you can't afford a good light then make a DIY CFL array

of 8-10 24w cfls in warm red with 1-2 cool whites centered

full and ample pots are always a winner along with 25% perlite

as these plants have a strong sativa lean, hence an extended bud time is required

of which you are incidentally doing, give them as much warm red(2700k) as you dare

along with the cfl array and 18/6 will see you grinning in 2 weeks

maintain 25c/77f

good luck
