looking for a good beginner strain with a good yield....any suggestions?

Auto assassin is very newbie friendly imho. She's a good eater & I would say generally hard to over feed. Good yield w/ an impressive fruity smell(once cured) & delicious earthy taste. Happy growing jhamilton!

Don't go for yield as your first second or even third motivating factor. For you first grow keep it simple and look close so you can see the signs of a deficiency or pests and learn how to deal with the problem before trying for the perfect grow right off the bat... If you want an easy good yielding auto, try Dieselryder or Lowryder#2, they are both proven and can also be good breeding stock so make seeds...

Never done the AAs but I have 6 burning a hole in my pocket...

I post some of my high yields in my signature, others do too. you can view them anytime you want.

Mi5 is a personal favorite. Easy to grow, great yields, and a very balanced high. Diesel Ryder is also good but can put up a stink. Auto Assassin for a more sativa high.

Best yield from an auto I've seen to date is Auto Big Bang. There is a thread on it. How beginner friendly it is I can't really answer. Best of luck.

Suggesting a plant requires a little insight.

Are you growing it inside or outside?

what is your style of groowing going to be?

How are you going to feed it?

Are there any other criteria besides yield which will be important to you?

Like Ease of growing
height of the finished plant.
Smell while growing
flavour of the smake
Bag appeal
Stone type

my 1st grow included a diesel ryder. well proportioned, small for inside and potent as hell with decent yield. Finicky on nutes though, easy to over feed and the smell was tooooo much. I could smell her before i entered my apartment complex! make sure you are in a safe space if you choose the diesel ryder or have some sort of carbon filtration. my :2cents:

I agree 100% with what you said. Great potent smoke, very stinky!

It is truly the winner of the stinky plant competition. Has anyone grown a more smelly plant than that one? I remember in the old days there used to be some wicked stinky skunks around. Doing sound in the bars sometimes sitting at the board I would swear a skunk walked in the front door. In the old days Ganja's pirates would drive around till they smelled skunk, check both sides of the road for a dead skunk and then go looking for the pot. The growers soon learned you didn't have much chance of getting that to harvest unless you sleeped out with her.
