This and some of the other issues can be minimized by removing a healthy branch off your autoflower and prepare It like a clone. Then you start spraying that branch, no need to wait for it to start rooting, in a separate area from your flower room. I use a 2x2x3 tent for breeding purposes. This way your main crop is preserved and you can collect this pollen for a future grow.this has to be done pretty quickly I found with autoflower because they grow so fast,unlike normal cannabis plants
I find allowing your pollen to dry and fall naturally works best so I simple put a paper plate around the base of the cloned branch and wait for nature to do it’s thing. Biggest failures l have seen, with pollen or seed making, is trying to rush the process. Done it myself with pollen a couple times in the beginning.
