I get it Bill, I had given up running because of my knees for 25 years. Back then though I did not know shit about running and just slapped on a pair of Keds or Converse basketball shoes and ran 10 miles on sidewalk. Now with shoes that are amazing and a method of walking/running called MAF training, I do 2 hours a day, 6 days a week, at my MAF HR of 120bpm. Pace and distance do not matter, only HR, time, and cadence matter. 305lbs down to 175 in 2 years and my cardiologist is amazed. Working on getting my lean muscle mass up now that the fat is gone and at my age that is not easy.I've hated running all my life! I've done it(Oh how I've done it!) because of training, various events and military. I can't take the jarring now with my back. I can ride a conventional bike, but it also is stressful on my back. I'm gonna need to get fitted for a recumbent bike to get my cardio. I get some with physical therapy twice a week, but it's not enough time on their stationary recumbent machine. They have me use it just for warm up.
I use a bunch of Sativa dabs pre and post workout and truly believe it helps me focus on the long run.
