Going photo to auto for first time.

Decided to cross my first auto/photo today. I have a U-Pink Kush I will be putting in to flower in about 2 weeks and was planning on crossing with another photo but that did not turn out. I will be using Himalayan blue diesel as it is what I have as far as stable reg beans. I was going to use a purple cross but my purple strain besides not being stable yet also has some color to the pistils and would not be as dramatic. Going for a pink hair auto. I dropped the HBD seeds this morning in water. This is going to take for ever. I want to re veg the U-Pink after I harvest the seeds and clone it and re breed with it again if I can to lock down the pink hair trait but have not kept a plant alive for this long before so I might have to just try going down the F line tell I get what I am after. We will see how this goes Hope this plant clones well. I might have a friend do the clones for me and pass them around to some of his friends so I can get this plant back at a later date from some one for back crossing with.

The mother plant is under a 250W MH on 24 hours a day as of rite now as I need a timer for it. I also have it growing in super soil which it dose not like too much. Its too hot for it and I should have waited tell about now to transplant in it. Will be ok but its not looking as good as I would like. Plant is around 36 days old from seed. Will switch lights at day 45 or so. The father plant will be just kept in a small pot and killed after the deed is done.

Light is switched and auto seeds have sprouted. I have to go to work so I will upload picks tomorrow.

Well had some timer problems. I go in my room a few minutes ago and the light was on. Had the timer backwards I think. I thought I checked it but I guess I got it backwards. I also have a problem with the cord going in to the timer because it is a side plug it is twisting in the socked from the weight of the cord and turning off. I have something pushed up against it to keep it from happening right now but will be putting it on a power strip later as soon as I can dig one out to fix the problem. So that makes today the first day of bloom not the other day. I am at work during the times the light is suppose to be off and it is on during the times I am home because I am gone 14 hours a day I am just catching this. O well no harm just more time tell harvest. The autos are going to get thin due to not much light but there only there for pollen so I don't care. I never grow full plants for seeds. Why try to produce weight if I am only after a few hundred seeds. Also my good light is occupied and I don't want to cross contaminate my plants I am growing for smoke.

I cant capture it on camera but I have seen a pink hair on the plant. It is super hard to see and at first I thought it was white under my MH lamp but after turning the branch I could see it was pink so that's a good sine. When there prominent enough to see with the camera I will take a pic. Will probably be about another week+ and am guessing my autos are about 2 weeks from seeing the males from the females and about 3 weeks total before the pollen is flying. Cant wait to see this plant in full bloom. Going to be an awesome looking plant. I am going to also make another order of U-Pink seeds soon along with some others stuff once attitude starts there Christmas promo. Might cross this F1 back to a U-Pink later and work on some photo U-Pink. I freeking hate only being able to get strains in fem only.

Well crap... All but 1 pre flower is white. I am scrapping the project. I will let things grow for a few more weeks probably but I am scrapping the auto seed project. I don't have the mother plant I am looking for. I do have 1 pink hair but it is not the vivid pink I had on the other 2 I grew and its only 1 pink hair out of a bunch of white ones. Last plants all hairs were pink. I am going to start this project over at another time with the seeds I get from the December order that's how it goes. Don't breed things if your not 100% happy with every thing. I will post again in a few months when I start this over.

Well dam now I am a little confused. I have a pink pheno and the white hairs turned out to be pink, they fade to pink and are white at the tips. I was thinking that maybe I do have the pheno I am looking for and am wondering if temp has any thing to do with the pink color like cold temps can bring out purple in buds. My last 2 were out doors so it might have had an impact on the color and my grow room for this one is warm. I have not killed any thing yet so I might still pollinate after all. Being that I am going to order more U-Pink I am thinking if I don't like the offspring that I could at least cross the F1 later back with another U-Pink. Still about another week tell a camera will pick up on the color of the pistils. The pistils might start coming in pinker with age of the plant too so I guess it all lives on... When I flowered my other 2 they were also a lot larger and mature. I flowered this thing early, in a pretty warm room were the temp is pretty stable and under a weak light.

I know these pictures are not great guys but things are still small and a little hard to see but here is my mother plant. Not all hair are pink either. Seams so far the ones on top are pink and lower parts of the plant are white but plant is still young so we will see how things go. This is what I am trying to bring in to my auto gene pool. The unique genetic trait will make learning about genetics easer for me as I have an easy to spot genetic marker from my photo plant. I see a pink hair auto in my future after all

Well definitely not the dramatic pink hair monster like the last 2 I grew. Hope I can find a pinker pheno in the F2 generations. Going to finish the project but this might be started over next time I grow this strain if I can find a better mother later. Still cool though. Also this strain is worth the smell. Its not super strong but it has a sweet, lime and pine smell to it that is pleasing on top of the neat pink color.
