its funny virtually any sterilized substrate CAN work, but the reason I went with rye originally is because that is what ergot grows on to make LSD so I figured it would be good for shrooms too lol.
 
Okay @tripaholic88 sorry to confuse you. I did the spawn run. Just didn't case before hand. Cased after. Just hydrated some verm with 3% h2o2 layed some on top and filled the bottoms of the main tubes. For all intensive purposes they are in fruit. I used tyvek cause it was easier to work with. I could remove and switch for poly fill. Temps have been a little low, but the highs are 73-76ºf

ok next time let the casing fully colonize before going to fruit... but since your already "fruiting" you need to take the tyvek off that is for colonization... insert your polyfill... here is how you "dial in" your mono tub https://www.shroomery.org/forums/showflat.php/Number/17332777
 
So I am seeing a few oins in every tub. Just misting occasionally, along the side of chamber not on the mycilum. Tomorrow first order, after work, is to finish dialing in mono-tub/fruiting chamber.
@GoAuto6 if this pans out well it may help with your dryness issues.
