Thats what the extra coco verm mix is for in the mono tub tek.
Top layer...= casing.
I mean I have done "casing" with gypsum and shit but its the same deal. All about even pinning

yessir, i never did the top layer just fruited it once the bulk substrate was colonized and you seen the results....:pass:

Man, this is too good. Where is the best spot for spores? I did shrooms a couple times years ago, cakes of vermiculite and rice flour in an aquarium, and only got a few shrooms, mostly i just got mildew cakes.

But, I have been looking back into it lately, because I'm pretty sure shrooms are legal here in FL. I'm no lawyer, but theres a supreme court case where the court said that if the legislature wants mushrooms to be considered a 'psilocybin container' they have to name every possible psyllocybin mushroom in the statute, otherwise, a person cannot be reasonably expected to know whether the strain of mushroom they have in their possession is legal. Legislature never did that, and while I can find a (very) few cases of people being arrested for mushrooms, I cannot find ANY information on thsoe people being CONVICTED. So it seems like worst case, they just take my stuff - which is cheap to replace.

Also, I miss trippin - I used to live in N FL where shrooms grow everywhere, sigh... I'm sure I could find a field somewhere if I looked, but I'm almost 40, my best fence jumping days are behind me

check them 3 out and im sure you will not be disappointed in any of them 3's spores as they are sponsors on shroomery.org which is where i learned EVERYTHING on fungi :d5:
 
So, I was thinking about just soaking the verm, for the bottom of the tubs and casing, in h2o & h2o2 heavy on the peroxid instead of pc ing it. Just 3% peroxide of course. Then when I have to mist, if I have to, I'll use the same solution. Its an idea. Maybe I'll just pc one set up and not the other for a control.

Thoughts, folks?

to be honest im having a hard time trying to visulize what your trying to do lol too much WCOG BHO
 
Think mono tub for pf tek. But instead of jars, 2 zombie tubs.
Verm in bottom to hold moisture for rh cause its dry here then zombie tubs for fruiting.
Or mono tub used as fruiting chamber.
I'll get a pic up at lunch.
