So I wanted to write a quick review of my initial thoughts of the Telos 008 from the good people at GN.

Side note, prior to purchasing I had my gals under 900w Viparspectra, after a few conversations with some more experienced growers I decided to bite the bullet and invest in some better tech, and of course was pointed in the way of of GN.

First some specs.

Lamp Weight: 6.5kg

Driver Weight: 1.5kg

Ingress Protection: IP66

Cooling: Natural convention/passive

Lamp Rise (above ambient): 40°C

Driver Rise (above ambient): 30°C

UV Protection:

T6-6063 anodised Aluminium (heatsink and rails)A2 coated Stainless steel (fastners)A4 natural Stainless steel (hanging fittings)Plexiglass 8n (Optics)

Corrosion Protection:

Bimetallic corrosion (metals)UV fade and colour (polymers)

Packaging and delivery.
Delivery was free and item was with me in two working days via UPS. Packaging, well what can I say nothing but the best it was probably one of the best packaged items I have ever received.

Build.
All I can say is wow the thing is a top piece of kit and feels like it's built to last! Heavy and solid (Weight could be an issue for some) but most tents should be able to support it along with your fans and filters. It's sleek and smart looking and that fact it has no moving parts is a real bonus. The unit itself is fully "mod" and is future proofed, as and when technology advances, nothing is permanently sealed, it's my understanding that GN hope to offer upgrades in the years to come. The lights are bright, and is said to easily produce enough for 4-5 autos at 20 hours on 4 hours off. Those that grow photo's would probably want to next one up the Telos 10 (Not yet available) but said to be around £500 when it ships, that's based on info from GN or simply double up.

Information from GN.

The Telos series is a range of full spectrum LED grow lights designed and manufactured in the UK by GN for growing taller plants in both harsh greenhouse conditions and indoor horticulture platforms. The Telos 8 has 8 30W modules, drawing 240W and providing a PPF output of 449.8μmol/s.

Featuring a waterproof and dustproof design, the Telos 8 can withstand any growing environment while providing a natural light for working under. The use of passive natural convection has eliminated the need for a fan, reducing noise output and significanlty increasing the life span of the light as it contains no moving parts.

Indoor hang heights and coverage

For seedlings/microgreens (indoor growing): ≈100cm from canopy, 170cm x 170cm area

For vegetative growth (indoor growing): ≈80cm from canopy, 130cm x 130cm area

For flowering (indoor growing): ≈60cm from canopy, 90cm x 90cm area

**I started mine out at 100cm and after 10 days i have gone day to 70cm, over this weekend I plan to lower it 60cm**

Conclusion this light I feel (So far) is definitely worth the investment, my gals seem to be loving it especially since lowering the light a bit more.

Here are some pics of my gals at around 16/17 days (The smallest one is actually only at about 10 days (Last pic)

Here are some pics of a IG gal who uses just one Telos 008 and as I say she can be found on IG.

Build 5/5

GN customer service 5/5

Delivery and packing 5/5

Would you recommend = 5/5

Price - After lots of research I feel it's a fair price 4/5 (Not five as they charge you for the power cable)

Would you buy again? Most definitely I will be getting a second unit hopefully for my next grow.

Happy rating 4.5/5 (Don't charge for cable and they have have 5/5 [emoji12]

Never written a review before and I am new to growing, hopefully it will help at least someone. Over the coming days I will try to give my thoughts on Phresh Hyper Fan Stealth 6" and ComboAir 6" filter.

Feel free to follow my current grow to see end results but for those that don't I will update this as and when harvest time comes and probably in between haha.

Happy Easter all [HASHTAG]#TokeToke[/HASHTAG]

Nice review buddy. I m getting one soon as well as i believe in them plus i searched for other users opinions and all they gave green light for this product so i think i will buy two if them for 2 tents so i will reduce running costs and as i counted i will get back price of purchase within 8 months as savings on electricity vs hps's.

They are excellent and plan on getting a second very soon (Hopefully) but like yourself I went on basis of many good reviews and several recommendations on here. Three of my plants are stunted (My fault) but one isn't and is actually a week behind the rest, she is about 50 days and still has a long way to go here are some pics.

(she is bigger in width, however I have tied her up a little as she is taking too much space) will let her loose in a couple weeks when the other plants are chopped.

I made many mistakes over this grow, but like dropping fan on two plants (Twice) all bar one (Tall one) have suffered major stress lol.
