Ok so i successfully germed my seed via paper towel method it had split. I immediately ph watered my solo cup till runoff (soil light warrior) then planted the seed only about a half inch in the medium, covered with saran wrap and placed in a dark warm place awaiting it to sprout. After about 3 days still no sprout so i couldnt help but feel like i did something wrong so i gently dug up the seed with a spoon sure not to break the tap root, and noticed the root was growing up and not down?? i carefully picked up the seed by the seed case and repositioned it so it was facing down. will it still survive? i was afraid if i didn't reposition it that it would fail. Do i still have good odds of it sprouting or not?

yes i think it can survive. just mist it keep it warm. i germed 5 seeds a coupe of weeks ago, the first one up a day ahead of the rest grew right out of the peat pellet and fell over, i picked it up same as you by the seed casing stuck it down in the pellet and one day later it popped. doing well now.:peace:

i had one like that as well just repositioned it and it doing well now:D

patience bud, after germing and planting i usually see the plant coming up 2-3 days after but my last batch all 4 seeds i planted came up later and i used a different soil. and about the root growing up or sideways or down, that may be why it took longer but it would find its way into the ground i feel man, ive had some like that. i think you germed them just fine, to be honest i think a lot of people dont put their cups in a dark place tho, i just throw mine in with my other seedlings right away. anyways man, try doing it again and just be patient, let mother nature do what she knows how to. (im no pro or anything, thats just my personal opinion) and i dont know the odds of it sprouting at all, someone else would have to guess on that. good luck man

did you make sure to poke a hole or two the size of a pencil in your saran wrap? there has to be ventilation.

I beleve you should put them under your lights after ther in soil, this way the seed head will grow up reaching for light and the root will seek darkness growing down.If there in complete dark they dont know whitch way is up or down, just like i get when im stoned.

ok i put some holes in the saran wrap and im going to put then out in the evening sun in a nice shady spot ill bring them back indoors tonight. no cfl's this will be an outdoor grow:peace:

I just planted in some light warrior and what I do with that stuff is give it a good soak a few hours to a day ahead of planting. I do this by setting the cup or small pot in a large container of water and letting them soak up from the bottom. I've noticed if i water a cup with light warrior till run off the top centimeter or so is moist and the rest is bone dry. Tbh I'm going to try TBM's spray layer method next time, sounds quicker and easier to manage.

I currently don't have a heating mat but im putting them in a closet near the top and the house temps are around 75-80 lol... and yes next time i will use your method to spray in layers sounds alot better than what i was doing. After i repositioned the seed i set the cup in the evening sun for a few hours in a shady spot with indirect light. its dark out now so i unfortunately have to bring them back inside and i cant run cfls so back out into the shade tomorrow morning. good day temps been warm here in the carolinas 70-80 ish and no lower than really 60 degrees. I wish i could use cfls to start indoors until around 2 or 3 weeks but since its not an option its good ol sun. i hope i can successfully get to a harvest i have put alot of money into this project.
