Germinated seeds in final pots

I soak the seed 24 hours then drop in final container. When I drop the seed in water I soak the pot with distilled water and put it in the tent under the light. I’ve never used a heating pad or a dome. I keep the tent at 70-75% humidity with a humidifier and adjust light height and power to get 75-80 degrees at soil level. Using a spray bottle I spray distilled water over the seed area about 5 times a day. Then it’s all common sense in keeping the pot moist while not drowning the roots. I’ve only grown 21 plants so far but the germinating has 100% success rate sprouting in 48-72 hours. Good luck!

Guess I'm lucky to have grown up in a farming community where we just drop a seed in prepared substrate and wait. I transplant every seed from solo cup to final with no problems. Managing a legal seed business was a plus too.

The only con I can think of is drowning seedlings from accidental overwatering

Pros

Less chance of stunting due to transplanting

No screwing around with prepping pots in the middle of a grow

No rootbinding from late transplant. Im sure the list could keep going and Im sure theres more cons, but it just seems easier in the long run for me

So I planted 4 seeds in their final pots, in the best conditions I could achieved - thank you for all the useful infos.
As a plan B, I also started 4 spare seeds on a nice layer of humidified worm casting, in a plastic box with transparent film and some holes to keep moisture inside.
The box is sitting right now next to my fire place, at warm temp - 48h later the 4 spare seeds have popped !
I checked in the tent but nothing is to see yet there...
I'm starting to realize that if my germ rate happens to be 100% (8 sprouts), I'm in trouble.
No way I can grow more than 4 plants in here...

I've transplanted many autos into their final pots with no really "bad" results. If you're experienced at transplanting any plants, it's really no different.

The thing I realized though, in the case of these particular plants, is that while you can do it, why? Just another unnecessary step. That could cause issues. It's not like a tomato plant that you would want to start indoors during winter so it's ready to transplant into the ground after the last frost/ when your soil reaches a certain temp.

I do soak them overnight for about 12-18 hours. Put them in their final pot in the tent and cover with a little humidity dome. Germination at close to 100%.

Glad your seeds popped.

Right on man you’re on your way! When, not if, they all sprout maybe you could try experimenting with topping them real early and just grow a couple nodes or put 2 in one pot? Theres also nothing wrong with considering them sprouting as a successful experiment and throwing or giving em away. That would be my angle if I knew for a fact there will be no room for them because they’re just beans. Cheers and good luck let’s grow these!

@PeaceLove&Buds Unfortunately there's no one around here to whom I could give some sprouts... such a shame.
I really hope my country wake up and stop fear this wonderful plant.
I would gladly offer some to @Don't Fear the Reefer but I don't think they're near the place I live...

I think that I'll give a try following your idea !
2 plants/pot and try to keep them small - great challenge for a new grower - thanks !
