One thing i want to ask, i know you had the tent packed
when you watered did you hand water or was this all automated?
Curious because i had water and in my tight space the constant movement seemed to help the density
every time i watered i put them back in a different order or arrangement and they all have great bud cover and density.

Ill get ya some pics dude but like i said before job well done.

My data is also consistent with you guys... good rotation heped overall plant vigor and yield... and the more room I give the more they give back... cant wait to try Autos outdoor!

Mitch... a really Stellar grow overall man... impressed !

Cheers again john,

I think it's strain dependant though, you could give certain AF's all the room in the world and they still wouldn't become monsters, whereas some will really benefit from it. I guess it's just about knowing your strain and finding the balance between yield per plant and numbers of plant to get the maximum end result before you start seeing diminishing returns.

It's all fun and games though :)

Oh.. as with all Cannabis.. strain dependent.. I totally agree.. but with a great Strain.. I think the possiblities in unlimited root space and super-lumens sun... is incredible

Where I am is very harsh on this sorta thing.. so I try to get my plant numbers down and yields up... as much as possible...

It certainly is fun and games ! :)

oh yeh for sure, everyone has their own requirements. Definetly would like to try having a few monster AF's in dwc at somepoint in the future. But for max yield i will keep the AF-SOG's running for now.

given time everyones ideal will be catered for eventually :)

Great grow Mitch C., I couldn't believe the yield you got man!

I need to get one of my closets set up as a perpetual SOG! Right now I'm just getting my 14'x14' Greenroom up and going again...
I was gifted 2x 400watt HPS systems that work great with 6 bulbs, I already had a 150watt HPS system so now I have 950watts of HPS!
This time its going to be a single strain grow with my BSxDRxHBDxJEM F!'s for a phenotype picking grow...
Can't wait to follow your next grow...

Thanks NC mate, yep me niether, I would have been well happy @ 600g's so to get another 4+ oz on top of that.. it's a very early christmas present to myself :)

Sounds good, thats a massive space! I wish i had something like that to try my hand in..!!

Best of luck though, I think there could be some very special plants to be found in that lot, lots of variation though.

I will get a proper thread up here when there's something to see, I'm just over a week into it, so will take some pictures soon.

Cheers, mc

Mitch,
I have to agree that ur plants and harvest is one of the best autoflowering grows I have seen this year, besides the pretty looking wild dragons! After seeing these 2 strains u did Im sure we are all going to have to get us some of them seeds
to play with ect, great job man! :)

Thanks Full D :)

To answer your questions..

They were hand watered, and I rotated each pot by a quarter every day. I could have been more vigilent at moving the rows too, but once they all got to their max height they were really left in place.
The taller ones went to the back and sides with the shorter ones in the centre and middle. It kind of seemed the best way to do it with having a parabolic reflector/verticle bulb arrangement.

I think they could have done better, as the setup really wasn't dialed in, and the strains were both new to me.
For example I fed a little too much early on, no bad signs of burn or anything but I could tell they would have been headed that way which meant i had to back off and give plain water for a couple of waterings.
Also humidity was too high in the flowering stage 50-60% generally which wasn't at all optimum. Only had a tiny bit of budrot on one plant though so it could have been worse. Another circulatory fan would have helped and I could have turned my fan up. But I was low on funds mid-grow and also noise is a concern where I am at.

This new run, I am aiming to have 25-30 fems depending on what ratio of girls I get, but I have 55 seedlings in there now.
I'm doing Secret Citrus which are meant to be bigger though, so I suspect it will get pretty full once again.
I'm upgrading my reflector, I'm getting a large adjustawing, which should really offer the most intensity to the plants the 600 has to offer.

But if i end up with a similar size harvest I shall be very happy. Especially as it will be a little less work heavy.

But all in all for a first run in a new setup and the first run of the strains I think it went well. Now it's just about tweaking it over time to hopefully get consistantly higher yields :)

Thanks again for your comments. Mitch

you got it man and well deserved thats for sure.
I figured you ran into size issues with the plants. I did too its why i had to rotate big ones to the out side lil ones in the middle
I have to say though even though you said its not dialed in thats not a bad harvest for that. A just one spot of bud rot in all those girls is good too.
I avoided this finally in my room. I got 2 of the little 5in fans from wal mart and put them on the floor pointing up into the underside of the canopy.
Not a sign of BR since.

Well ill be watching your next grow on those SS and i think that a SOG of AF's is the ticket. My JEMS are not going to be ones for SOG but the Red bad Betties i have will be
they have NO side branching at all. I cant wait to see what bud sets are going to look like

Thanks bradley much appreciated :)

Full D, cheers again mate.

Yep, I mean the plant size differences weren't too vast - the majority were 40cm high - say 80%, and the exceptions were 10-15 cm either side. As when growing a big number you are undoubtedly going to have some that do better than others. And slightly different phenos, but i'm sure as they get further IBL'd the uniformity will get even better.

Yeh i could have done with one more circulatory fan, but i think it was mostly the outside environment - being cold over winter! the inside was pretty cold so the air won't have been taking away much moisture.
If i could have afforded to heat my house more I think the RH would have dropped.

But i guess it's good to know that they can stand up to highish humidity.

This next grow should be better though as the outside/inside house temps will be warmer.

I love the sound of those red bad betties - I've ran quite a few SOG's and most AF's i've found when given the rootspace to get large, also like to branch, so you could have something special there :)
Best of luck with it anyway dude, and link me to the grow i'll be sure to pop in.

Cheers, mitch

I realy like the height on these things,
40cm average is awesome for people that want short plants!
Any idea what the shortest was,or the tallest?
Either way,u got an amazing harvest of some of the most gorgeous buds Iv seen for a while! :)
Looking forward to checking out ur new grow, cant wait!
