Frosty Gelato - Growers Choice

Have you seen Growerschoice.nl released 3 triploids and another 30%+thc strain??? Supposedly Pink Glitterbomb has the same yield and potency as their new triploid strains but is a traditional diploid from what i can gather. XXXL yields and 30%thc yes please! I still need to grow out the Original Oreoz i got from them lol

I just saw the triploid strains they have.

While I applaud and research and breeding experiments, I'm a bit concerned about one aspect of this direction:

They claim the plants are not receptive to pollen. This means we can't breed with them, and are beholden for seeds forever. Similar to what Monsanto did with their terminator seeds for crops.

Just like regular photoperiods you can take clones and keep moms, ive also read that they aren’t completely sterile, but can and do sometimes produce viable seeds. Im also curious if you can reverse them to produce viable pollen and breed that way. Just like they can produce viable seeds, im sure some of the pollen would be vialble! We have to wait and see and be willing to experiment ourselves and not just take the salesmans words for scripture!

Regular diploids go into non-symmetric branching after a certain number of nodes(my phone is trying to correct this to 'nudes')

Would triploids do the same thing?

If so they'd lose the triploid by the time you cut clones.

Triploids are not the same as trifoliate, triploids have 3sets of chromosomes where diploids have two. When three leaves sprout where there should only be two, it is a trifoliate. Triploids are a forced genetic polyploid plants, they look and grow like diploids except much larger and vigorous. Trifoliates or tri-leaf plants usually grow out of that once nodes start to alternate. Some breeders are putting out triploids now, the biggest upsides to triploids are bigger yields and increased potency along with being sterile so outdoor crops cant be polinated as easily. Triploids are bramd new in the breeding world, breeders have been trying to lock down polyploid genetics for decades, it is a brand new thing in the cannabis world( aside from the random mutants) to be able to bring triploids to the public on demand.

Late Bloom New
Final weeks

Starting to give some lavender/floral linalool smells.
