Tell me @Ripper ......

How much smaller will these plants tend to be, seeings as they're all organic with no chemicals added. I kind of expected them to be on the small side, to tell you the truth.

My thought on the subject is....every at bat is not a home run.....and not every plant can be a monster.

My point is....I'm not expecting the performance of say a hydro setup full of chemical nutes. I expect to grow better quality medicine (which in the end, is the goal anyway), and usually quality and quantity are not something that is delivered hand in hand alot of the time.

I do like the thought of my crop spread over say, 6 plants.....instead of 1 or 2. My thought is that if I grow 6 smaller plants and yield the same as two monster plants (or about)...it acts as kind of insurance.....if I lose one plant, or it does not perform well, I'm only out a maximum of 1/6th of my crop....versus if I've got two plants and one dies....I'm out 1/2.....

Anyway...I'm rambling. Thanks for all the help and encouragement bro! I hope I'm not too big of a pain in the ass.....but in my eyes, you've got this shit figured out, and I'm just hoping to learn a bit from you. Frank I grew my bubblecious that i chopped last May in a 3 gallon pot water only.. one plant 288 grams dry.. kind soil works they may be bigger then anything you have grown

I was just over on Kind Soils website reading through some stuff. I think the roots are probably just getting to the point they can utilize the kind soil. According to what they say, the roots are just getting into the soil and uptaking it in the beginning of flower. I'm not to far past that point now.

Yeah...I've learned my lesson on that light. I think I thought it wasn't as powerful as it is because it puts of very little heat. I'm still getting used to the LED.

@Frankthetank I just read the last couple of pages here and it seems like we had the same experience some what. I upgraded in tent size (long story it was not by choice but it is working out) and I have two old school Mars Hydro 300w and I had a pine apple Express and A crystal Meth going. I have never used LED's and so I figured I would use the LED's first. I dropped them pretty close and kept them there,they were about a foot above. They both stayed small the CM is 23 inches and the Pineapple is about 17. I have been lucky as far as big plants go. Having these two smaller plants is nice and if I can go with 12 and pull a pound off them and at the same time getting 3 different strains is what I wanted from the get go. I will now give them bloom nutes to keep them shorter or tie them down if needed. So I am wondering if mine weren't stunted by keeping those LED's too close.

I would say thats where I'm at. When I increased the height of the light, they started stretching almost immediately.

So...what is the deal with the air pots?? I see alot of people like them, but I'm not sure why. Is it just more O2 to the root zone??

Anyways, about the VIVOSUN fabrics pots... everything says 5 gallons but the pot size is actually three gallons? Is this normal? .

From what I understand Fabric/Air Pots are equivalents... Not actual 3 gallon/5 gallon, etc.. Probably why they are smaller...

I think I underestimated the power of my light. After talking with @Ripper I think it was too low, therefore keeping them from stretching to reach it. Also, I run the light with both switches on all the time....I'm trying to get a perpetual thing going, so I won't be able to just run the grow switch. We'll see if having the light higher works for the two little ones....where about 3 feet above them right now.

I will say...if the plants start getting to big (in the future) I'll probably have to decrease my plant count.

All in all, I'm learning....and thats what matters to me. Somebody said the other day that you learn more from a bad grow than a good one. At this rate I should be a genius in no time!

Sorry I'm slacking in response bro... Yeah you got it sorted with Rippers help... Your light was too close/low. That will keep them very small. Keep in mind the intensity... What I'm learning is by watching the leaf edges... If its too close and too intense the edges will curl up. I keep raising them up until that quits. I don't know if that helps you any its just an observation on my part...

I emailed them and they thought I meant they sent the wrong pots, said they would send me more if I gave them my order number. I explained to them the situation again. I don't want to be a dick and lie to get something for free. hopefully they will send them anyways, I could use five more.
