Indoor Fox Farm Ocean Forrest - First Flush

I'm growing in OF, and on day 21 into the grow. They look great so far. Since the soil is very "hot", I have yet to add any nutes. When should I perform the first full flush and how much plain pH'd water should I run through the 2 gallon containers their in?

You really don't need to flush right now but you do need to start nutes. Start with your veg nutes at about 1/2 strength at 21 days. You shouldn't need to flush until the end of your grow.

What strain are you growing and what's your setup?

Small closet with 10 cfl's. Four girls in 2 gal pots of OF. 3 mini guns and a blueberry.

Sounds like a good setup. Do do have adequate ventilation in the closet ? Those cfls are gonna get pretty warm and you really want to keep your temps around 80F. Ive been using ffof for quite a while and I've never flushed until the last two weeks of the grow unless I was having problems. Are you growing organic ? What are the nutes you're using ?

Hey Zeeker! I've used OF for months when I started... I waited until sex showed which is normally around where you're at + or - a few days... So you should be fine to do it now or wait until sex shows. Good that you understand it's hot and need to take it easy on the nutes and watering! :thumbs: What nutes are you using? You may want to even start at 1/4 dose of Grow nutes to see how much they can handle...

Hmm. Thats one to flush only at the end and one to flush anytime now. I'm so confused..... I have the trio waiting in the cupboard to be used. I'm currently using only distiller water pH'd to 6.8, but my run off is still at 5.9. Grrrrrr. I'm just starting to get a little concerned about lock out. But hey, your opinions are like gold to me, as I am just a noob....

Oh yeah. I am thinking about backing off on the number of lights. Maybe just 8 cfl's as my temps are running around 82f. I knew I should have bought that 6" incher.

He meant you could start nutes anytime I don't think he meant flush. Were ya reb ?? Flushing is to clear out any built up salts and leftover nutes. I've never used there nutes but I here they work pretty good. Your ph is actually not that bad. Just raise the ph of your water to 7.0 and see what happens. Do you have a good cal/mag supplement? You will need it with ffof.

82F is fine and the more light the better off you are. Keep those 10 lights blasting down on those babies.
