Onward and upward! Moving into hydro this round to chase yields a little. Maybe a lot. Dropped 2 beans about 6 weeks ago, Flash Seeds Muay Thai and a Copacabana. Both are superautos. Both germed well, one day in water and then into Rapid Rooters the next. Popped their heads a couple days later and then quickly into Hydrofarm Waterfarms. Put them a little deep in the clay and the stems rotted a little right at ground level from being too wet constantly. Rocked one a little and it just fell over. A few days later I put it out of its misery, a bit older and wiser. Cost of tuition, I suppose. Many prepare for success, few prepare for failure. Made a shield for the drip ring for the one remaining and the stem dried out and the plant recovered. Overall effect on the plant was like a supercrop. The height was stunted and the structure quickly went wide, bushy, and heavily branched. The stem where it drops into the clay is now a huge knob about 2 inches wide. Got a few early pics, vegged under household LEDs.

Here we go, the two little monsters:)

Hi Camaro, I grew the same two strains outdoors last year and they got huge, especially MuayThai. So prepare yourself for a lot of training.
What size is your space?

Best of luck

That was then and this is now, about 6 weeks later. 10 days water, 5 days at 25% nutes, 5 more at 50%, then 75%, and on to 100% for a couple weeks. Pistils showed up at the beginning of the week and I began transitioning into bloom nutes. Currently 1 week of 1/3 bloom to 2/3 grow, changing tomorrow to 2/3 bloom and 1/3 grow for another week. Caught some rust spots on the leaves early, this is when I move up my light a couple inches. I believe it was the Copa that bit it early, so what we have here is the Muay Thai. Started my light at about 25 inches, but its been about 20 most of this time. The last little bit of stretch has brought it within 15-16 inches from the bulb, but she's a light hungry bitch and is sitting in a spot that has burned crispy other strains I've had under the LEC315. Can't say enough great things about this light. Full spectrum. High UV output. Low power draw and heat. Completely silent. New to growing scene but proven technology. In fact I'm considering moving my grow spot to fit in another light and open up my footprint a little. This plant has been ponytailed in veg about a half dozen times to flatten the canopy. A real success and a technique I picked up hanging around here. Shout out to Dazed and Faded187, which I believe is where I saw it done first. She's gotten pretty fat in the last couple weeks. 3ft by 3ft and about 2 ft tall. Drinks a little over a gallon a day at full strength.

Hey Bala. I'm still catching up. Wasn't sure I was a hydro guy, especially as fast as I killed the Copa. So I've been holding off on a journal but now I just can't help myself. I'm pretty proud of this one. LOL. As you can see IT IS a monster. Bud sites everywhere. I've come a long way over the last year from when I got started in this crazy business, and I could thank a lot of people around here for the help, but there's honestly just too many. The new space will be 4 1/2 by 3 1/2 ft with an 8 ft ceiling. Closet. Just a little cramped now and at this point supercropping individual branches as they pop up is the plan.

The thing that got me started today was a little trim/defol, much needed. Letting in some light and knocking off a few branches underneath that will just steal energy from the tops. I had it out, snapped a couple pics and here we go, journal started. Long skinny leaves, 9 blades, classic sativa look.

Changing out the res today so a quick update. Jumping right into full bloom nutes for the Thai. If there's any burn coming, it'll happen now. Continued trimming lowers that are underperforming. Had a little help around, so got a shot of the rootball and with things clearing out underneath, the stalk.

The Formula One is a strain I've wanted to do from the beginning. The taproot hit the res the other day and growth is really kicking in.

The next two are from two days ago.

Very vigorous and off to a heavy indica start.

Hey camaro buddy, nice to see your Muay Thai humming along, been awhile, she must be gigantic by now. Would love to see some more pics. I'd definitely like to grow her again, a very enjoyable smoke.
