Fixing ph in soil?

I used to grow hydro dwc and easily knew how to adjust ph in my hydro water. Now I'm growing in soil. My soils ph is about 8 right now. How do I get it back down between 6 and 7? Feed with water ph'd at 6 or give a flush with 6 ph water? Or do I use sulfur or aluminum sulfate? I read that it can take a while to fix ph in soil. New to soil growing so I need some guidance please. Thanks

You can make Hydroguard go a long way if you like. Its basically water with bacteria... there's someone who found a way to replicate the bacteria inside the bottle.
I have to look when I get home and repost it here, but you only need water, nutrients and two drops of Hydroguard. I believe he uses the drainwater from chickpeas as a base to which he adds two drops of the bacteria. Let it sit for 24hours @ 36°C stirring it every so often after which the bacteria will multiply and you can then add the new culture to your tank. This way a small bottle will take you years to empty ;)

Edit: I found the article. It comes down to this...
Take the broth of chickpeas and put it into a flask add two drops of the bacteria and put it on a heated (37°C) magnetic stirrer for six hours with a lid on. Use as per direction on the bottle. You can
