Any comments feel free:peace:

All the plants that have started in the tent are just over 3 weeks old but are not showing yet. I have a feeling this is because they are under a red spectrum cfl. Would this be the case or could it be something else

Gentlemen, Excuse the lack of recent contact. I find working shifts plays havoc with my uploading abilities. However, here we are with the first instalment of Aprils pictures. These were just taken, nod to you Mr DeHerb!!!

Good day to you all...

That's quite a turnaround. When I first saw them on the screen in little boxes I thought I was gonna see half-dead burned leaves.. but instead I'm treated to some nice lush growth. +1 both of you.

By the way..

Am I the only one seeing the metphorical significance of you two sharing a grow and one of the seeds being a twin?

Fascinating. Sending over green mojo by the bucket-load for those girls.

Do you mean not showing pistles? If anything the red cfl would promote flowering so I wouldn't have thought that could be the culprit. :peace:

Cheers mate, appreciate that

You know, I never saw that till you said it

Yes that's what I mean, no signs of sex either way and they'll be 4 weeks on Saturday. The seeds were born from two of Wiz's lines and both showed sex at around 2 to 3 weeks, so I know the genetics are fine, just not sure why these are taking so long:confused:

As Mr Donkey is on the wrong shift to post photos of our indoor grow (maybe the weekend?) thought I'd put some up of my dragons. Still only wee lil babies but they all have to start somewhere.
Finally got them into their airpots but could do with the weather cheering up a bit...this could be heading for the coldest April I can remember

Ah...TFFT.......little minx's...

Plain compo or amended...?.....

I'm not Good at lights..but with the sex delay..and they aren't Amazonians..could it be lack of lumens delaying them.....
or
a cold cupboard...

I can't think of anything else....

Cheers mate
They're in your standard multi-purpose stuff from wilkos...bout 3quid for 20L if memory serves
I think your probably right on both counts... They're on a red light and it has been chilly...combind with the fan which is a bit big for the conditions, more of a summer fan.

coldest april huh
do you have the pots directly on the floor of your grow?
this will lower pot temps more dramatically in smaller containers and effect especially smaller plants w/ smaller root structures of plants
the larger root structure ratio compaired to bucket size and medium will effect the ph fluctuation faster if a large root is generating the heat in a smaller medium
i see it in your leaf structure leaf droop slight curl down thick leaf structure bright green pail(could be from the camera as well)

but if this happens the water in soil doesn't disipate and as fast and lower temps reak havok on fert absorbtion by microbes to aid in digestion and yes ph is even fluctuated more dramatically (look up ph) but for quick answer dif temp will change the ph of the same water

the higher off the floor you can keep containers the warmer thay will be, but to be clear even on large planters i put a coaster of card board (i also use a square of duct insulation cut to fit under that has foil insulation on both sides w/ bubble pack in beween to insulate the area between the container and floor instead) cardboard can still be used and is cheap and readilly available but will give some insulation to containers

also if using a water source that has added chlorine and you need to let the water sit to disipate chlorine before you water DON'T let the water sit on exposed floor especially concrete it will draw out the heat from the water
and the smaller the container you use while using a hydro system this same thing applies a five gallon will fluctuate temps worse than a 55 gallon res would
even in dwc i would especially advise doing this unless you live in a region that is giving you a hotter grow area and the benefit of cooling your soultion is needed than put dir on surface
i would recomend a cheap way to guage container temp find a cheap digital thermometer with a out side weather probe on a wire for about $10 burry the cable into the smallest container in the room and monitor external but also internal temps of container for fluctuation in temps
