Hi everyone, I'm currently growing a NL Auto as well as chembomb auto both in week 10 from seed and 7 weeks from when they started flower on sept 15. All pistils are amber as well.

Took some trichome pics earlier today. Do they look ready to harvest? I wanted more of a body stone than a head stone. Thanks!

Looks good plenty of ambers for me. I have found this chart very helpful I start looking and thinking about harvest once about 75% of the hairs have darkened. The upper parts of the plant will typically be more ripe then the lowers some folks take tops then let the lowers mature longer. Me personally just wait till the majority of the plant is ready and harvest then. I like mostly cloudy with some ambers :d5::pass:

@Lil Dab thank you very much for this awesome advice! I was starting to stress because I didn't want to harvest too soon or too late but everyone I asked said that 70 days from seed is too soon but then a few people said they harvested around 70 days as well with autoflowers so I didn't know who to listen to lol. I watered yesterday so probably gonna wait till Sunday for soil to dry out as I read that drying out the soil first speeds up drying time.

No problem happy to help the trichs are who you need to listen to. Yes I've had plants go 100+ days and also have had plants harvest in 60 days lots of variables and largly strain dependent most auto's finish around 70-100 days. I wouldn't sweat it too much lots of different opinions on the subject good rule of them is if you thinks it is ready wait another week or two and you'll be good. I try to look at the trichz from all over the plant uppers and lowers you should see the difference in ripeness harvest when most of the plant is ready

Yeah I would agree drying out the soil does speed up the dry but typically I am trying to slow it down so I don't over dry too fast. I like to chop couple hours after lights on after the girls have had time to drink a little :pass:

Wow 60 days?! That's amazing, thank you for letting me know about the 70-100 day window. Also good to know the soil doesn't have to be dried out before chopping. I also have a pure cbd plant as well as a 1:1 cbd thc plant that are 1 week behind these older girls. I didn't know if I should also wait for trichomes to amber or harvest sooner because it's cbd? Also how do you use those cool emojies they're hella funny 😁
