New Grower First time growing. Time to say hello!

New day new problem... Anyone know what this scary looking thing is??View attachment 923489 View attachment 923490

Hi bro welcome to AFN fellow UK Expat here currently in NW Spain :d5:

If they are the same plant and leaves that you posted on Monday i would swing towards Phosphorus deficiency, the fading orangish spots in Mondays pics look like it in a early stage more so so than Calcium that appear more like brown burnt spots. The latest pics looks like phosphorus at more advanced stage which is where it shows the bigger spreading blotches and yellowing out of the leaf, usually shows on the mid to lower leaves first before starting to work it way up which is where it seems to be hitting your plant.

Have you started feeding Bloom yet ? if not would convince me even more it is Phosphorus and also will be your solution. Could be PH causing it more than lack of in which case feeding more could cause more harm than good, so always a good idea to get a PH measurement of the soil when possible before committing to any solution.

Will tag in @Waira as he is a true plant problem and deficiency guru and may swing on by when he gets a chance to throw in his :2cents: Could also always post up in the Infirmary where you should get a full set of expert eyes on the problem  https://www.autoflower.org/forums/autoflower-infirmary-for-sick-plants.90/

I sure as hell don't miss that Sahara sand dust used to be cleaning that shit for a week when i was in the South. Peace pal and best of luck going forward with the grow :pass:

Hi @Spanglish thanks for your welcome and helpful reply! This is intact a different plant. The other one was a critical + 2.0 and that is the same now as it was on the other pictures no bigger, no worse... Now the scary looking one came out of nowhere on my haze 2.0 which is scary cus that's the one I was most looking forward to I have been feeding bloom for a couple of weeks at lowish doses, as for pH I havent got ability to test soil apart from a run off test with the ¿iodine? stuff. My water here is a bit high pH like 8 or something but I read that Biobizz buffers down the pH and no need to adjust the pH of the water. Strange how it's only on o e plant though... So far

Absolutely beautiful place down in the south, loving it compared to England. Although I miss being able to sit on the sofa without sticking to it!!

Here's pics from about half hour ago, you can see it's localised on one leaf so far, no signs elsewhere really! Had to rearrange today as the balcony that over looks us complained about seeing plants

Hey pal you're welcome am happy to try and help.

If it's just that one leaf on that different plant and it's not spreading I don't think you need to worry too much, most likely got nute splashed or water droplets and sun burnt.

Plants looking good and gonna start budding up nice soon, let's help the neighbours don't mind the smell :eyebrows:

Loved it in the South was in Mula a town in Murcia for near on 10 years, moved to the North after my daughter was born, is different but beautiful in its own way and as you rightly said a hell of a lot better than the UK.

Peace :pass:

I hope you're right @Spanglish, can't be dealing with any drama they're only here part of the year and I think they've gone back home for a while so I'm hoping these guys finish up quick quick before they come back! Starting to get a bit of smell off them, but not over powering at all. Give it a couple weeks and maybe

I'm going to test the runoff pH today, I got some pH drops so I'll see what that comes out as. Also I'd be interested to see what the pH of my feed is once all mixed up. As I said previously though I thought Biobizz soil was supposed to buffer down the pH removing problems like this how do I know though.. only my first time growing!

Fingers crossed they are cool about it then, if not you could always try schedule flowering periods around when they away in the future to keep them happy and off your back about it now you have already got them out of sight.

Always a good idea to test it once in a while even if the nutes or soil are supposed to buffer PH, but those buffers can break down or have limits for the starting PH of the water and can start to drift off as things progress along. Drop will give you a good enough idea of where the PH is at but is not perfect due to discolouration of the soil water, if you got the spare cash would be a good idea to look into a Accurate 8 soil probe just stuff it in the pot/ground and will give you accurate idea of what the PH is, unlike the cheapo soil probes that are just a waste of time and cash and would better off sticking with with a runoff test with drops or a liquid probe than bothering with one of them.

I don't think there's a shop around here that sells the accurate 8 or anything similar, I'll be doing some more looking around though! But for now all I can do is runoff with drops at least it will give me an idea if it's between 6 and 7 not below or above. But then I'll get the prove when I can

When the neighbours are back I'll have to have a little chat see if I can work it out without them even knowing for future grows

Never found one in Spain and ended up getting it on the slow boat from China if i remember right which aint all to often :crying: Will have a dig around somewhen and see if i can come up with anything new more local as was a few years back when i got mine now. But as you say the drops will give you a rough idea and put your mind to rest a bit about what's going on down there.

Will be great if you get something sorted as the less that know the better and the ones that do you want to keep sweet ;) On a legal level Spain is pretty relaxed but still not 100% ok with it, but as long as you keep plant numbers reasonable and they cannot be seen by the public (recent new law) you will be pretty safe and even though still not legal just about on side with the law.

Thanks for the help you've been throwing my way @Spanglish. I guess is expats need to stick together!

Just done run off test, raised two planters off the floor, put a pan underneath. Slowly added water straight in the middle of the plant so it had to soak through and not run down the sides. Collected first few drops and tested. You can see the tap water is smurf colour before putting it into the soil, and after is sitting at yellow. So according to the colour chart somewhere around 6 to 6.5? Does this sound relatively good for my particular test?

I will get the accurate 8 when I can, still not opened a Spanish bank account! One thing at a time it's the laid back lifestyle around here rubbing off on me.

First picture (on my knee) is healthy critical + 2.0. 2nd pic is affected haze 2.0. and third is the water used for the test. I did this without adding any nutrients also! Just plain tap water left out for 24 hours or more
