My balcony is about 1.1m by 1.1m.

See the little area underneath the airconditioners? Would that be an ideal place for growspace?

i have about 50cm X 50cm with a maximum height output of about 60cm.

And Muddy, how would you define near? Referring to the distance between my balcony and the neighbours. Because both left and right sides are empty. I only have to worry about the neighbour above or under, I've been smoking consistently in my balcony, will the smell be like 100X more than the odour released when I'm smoking? Thanks!

Of course, the smell is different from smoking, and it will be there all the time, especially when they are flowering. I would be more concerned about the people above you smelling it than the ones below. You might also consider getting a vaporizer for smoking. I'm sure the people above you are smelling it. With a vape there is virtually no smell.

I still think using the indoor area with a tent and carbon filter are the safest way for you to grow.

Alright Muddy, I guess I'll have to get a vaporizer and also can i just purchase a camping tent and set it up inside? Will that be feasible ?

no, get a grow tent... they are designed for it... a camping tent wont produce the same results from many aspects... light control (keeps illumination in and reflects it for maximum efficiency), air flow, and fire hazard, to name a few... they aren't that expensive if you shop around...

I'm sure someone will be along to reccomend a good deal on a grow tent for you.

Yes thats a good tent^. Get the ball rolling and start growing! What are you going to do about lighting? I would suggest you get a Pro-Grow 180 LED light. They rock. BTW, feel free to send me some landrace Thai seeds while you're at it .
