Alright guys... Hope all is well.... Having an issue I am not sure if this is over watering or nute burn. Leaves are turning yellow around the edges and there is an odd hole on some old leaves.... I've repositioned my light and I've fed only water gonna see how she goes... Any ideas what the problem is?

Thank you for replying dude much appreciated... Yeah I'm hoping she will be fine. My head has been pure boxed because i beleive I stunted my first one.... I've managed to get my PH meter calibrated also, hopefullyI'll give what my grow medium needs
Which PH meter did you buy ? Also if you're worried about your calibration solutions just buy a pre mixed NIST traceable set off Amazon if you can. I go with Biopharm and their stuff keeps a long time. The only thing they say is don't stick your meter in the bottle, pour some into something then calibrate to avoid contamination. I use an apevia 3 point meter and the solution and meter are always dead on. Had my bottles the better part of a year.

Also as far as your humidity being to low, I hear you there. What I use is an ultrasonic fogger such as from "House of Hydro" in a 5 gallon bucket. I use 1 head mister, but have 2 in case I need it. Got mine off ebay and saved a little cash. keeps a 2 x 4 at the right humidity. Just run some air over the bucket or the "fog" stays in the bucket and no humidity change !

What kind of fan you using ? When I was stuck with a crappy generic ipower 190 cfm, it sucked all the humidity out of the tent. The cheap solution is to buy what is called a "blast gate". Woodworkers use them to turn on and off the vacuum to their tools by sliding a "gate" open and closed to block off air entirely or just partially. Cost me 7 bucks and helped a lot. Now I just bought one of these new adjustable DC fans and threw that old setup in the storage room. Depending on your heat, you don't need much ventilation and usually can turn it way down in veg. When in flower plants like it lower anyhow, plus they are larger and transpire a lot, so it'll be way easier to keep it humid in there.

I bought a lot of crap trying experiments and learning, so I can definitely help you on the gear part, still learning a lot on the growing part though. One thing for sure though, keeping it simple and straightforward beats getting to fancy and complicated any day. Plants just want consistency more than fancy feeding schedules and magic supplements. Less is more, even on PPMs and fancy lights. Don't worry if every single thing is always perfect as long as your average conditions are good, plants can adapt somewhat. GL :)

Slow growth for my first lady.... but i have faith in her! Day 13
Some start out really slow, have one now. Some slow growers tend to be pokey then reach a critical root mass and they take off like crazy and double / triple in size in a few days, from there they tend to be okay. You'll just have to keep plugging away. Don't be discouraged if you screw up too, those are the lessons that really stick with you and make you improve. When it's easy we don't learn anything and it's usually dumb luck/ coincidence, then when something changes, you won't have the experience from all those screw ups to tell you what to do. You gotta kill a few plants to "git gud."

Over watering is a bitch because it has all the same symptoms as under watering except for one. When over watered the plants may droop just like under, but the leaves usually look very stiff and puffy because there is too much water in the leaf tissue.

Nute burn starts at the tips and the edges of the leaves, minor nute burn starts out light yellow and progresses to brow as it gets worse afaik. Nutrient burn also leaves a consistent border all the way around the edges, not broken up like your pics. Two things that can cause the burn is low humidity / high temps, your plant has to get all it's water through the roots and can take in more nutrient salts than it can use. Raising the humidity and or lowering the temps in your tent (if over about 78 can help by causing your plant to transpire (sweat) less. If your stuck with or want to run higher temps, lower your PPM a bit and see if the new growth shows yellow tips, if so, lower more. Burned tips and edges can't "heal" per se, so you need to watch new growth.

I've also never heard of holes that were cause by anything other than pests, some of which you need a microscope to see. Seems like something is snacking on your leaves to me.

I've over PPM'd but just to the yellow and not brown stage. What I've read is not to just water with no nutrients because halt is hydroscopic and loves water, so water is taken inside the plant due to the high salts and this will actually cause an over watering condition as the plant drinks too much initially. Maybe someone with more experience in correcting high ppms can chime in. I grow in hydroton (to avoid as many bugs as possible) so it's easier to correct if you make your ppms too high.

Cheers dude for your detail responses.... I thinking it may be nute burn as I know I've been watering withoutany over spill from the bottom. Soo. What ive decided to do is feed with pH water to try and flush the nutes that might be built up in the pot try and flush them out... Obviously try and be careful not to over water... It's all a learning curve

I hope it is overwatering because bugs suck.
