New Grower First time grow in a semi small Cabinet Setup need a little advice and direction

ive did a little more and think i have all the things i needed or was lacking just wanting to pick the right seeds. but i put mylar in the box added another power strip added 4 extra sockets so in total (ill have 6 bulbs maybe ill add 2 more down the line) another small fan for intake outake and cooling effect, ph meter, humidty reader, fox farm small batch nutes, happy frog soil, and replacement 100w cfl bulbs both 6500k &2700k.. both 6 packs

Hi,
I would throw all your lights on and see what temperature you are running. If you don't have a thermometer I would consider it essential. Throwing all your power on now for a good couple of hours will give you plenty of time to sort out any issues that you may have.

I would consider at least a small amount of filtration, carbon cooker hood replacement filters can be bought everywhere really cheap, can easily be taped over intake/ outake holes and as an added bonus will keep pests out and barely affect air flow.

Seed selection will be critical for yourself, but masses of grow diaries on here by some excellent growers with small strains. My personal favourite was sour blues by mephisto, small, sturdy, good yielder and a great smoke.

Good luck.

Good idea on running the lights for a while as a test to see what the temps will do.

As a side note....you can also do some small DIY odor filtration by doing a little modding on the carbon filters you can get at the big chain hardware places for furnace filters. Cut a piece and duct tape it to fit over the hole for your exhaust type thing. Did it with the little drying box I built and it does cut the smell some. Think they're like ten bucks. Even with being in a house, the smell can get outside when they're in full bloom more than you might think. Then you hear stories like the pizza delivery dude somewhere who called authorities on a guy because he smelled pot while delivering a pizza and saw there were kids in the house. Point being, unless absolutely nobody ever comes around your house besides you, smell is still worth thinking about.
