hi guys im wanting to start a small personal grow (AUTO FLOWERS) in a cabinet that was giving to me and im also working on getting more materials in the coming weeks and (seeing that im brand new grower i have a few questions)..
i have 2 60w 6500 cfl lights at the moment and about 4 2700k 60w cfl
a fan to blow air around
a pot not sure of size and a few other pots
and miracle gro soil..( ive read using this soil is no good) other soils ive read about i have to order online
ill be getting a ph tester and humidty reader this weekend or next.

would the 2 6500 and 2 2700 be enough light..?
would like to know whats best soil..?
best nutes..?
and a good light schedule
ALL FOR AUTO FLOWERS

thanks for the feedback i live in a state where we arent leaglized yet could i go pick some of that up at like lowes, home depot, walmart..? something like that..?

Roots Organic is more likely to be found at a local grow shop than at a big chain type store. Not sure what a good chain soil would be. I can second that Roots Organic Original and their 707 mixes are both popular choices for autos. I use the original and have read some really good growers using the 707. Similar soils, I think the 707 just retains water a bit more than the original. I want to say I've read some growers using Dr. Earth, which is more likely to be found in the big chains. But I think that might have been more on the photoperiod growing sites, so I'd read up on that one before taking my word for it.

You'll want to research your strains. The impulse to get the big, huge yielding strain obviously will have to be fought. Quick, smaller autos will be the trick. I'd also start reading up on some LST (low stress training) threads if you haven't already just in case you find yourself with a plant in need of height management.

Not a CFL expert so not sure if the amount will be enough. I think it's good....but just not sure. I was running some T5 fluorescent side lights for a while, and they made more heat than I was expecting for fluorescent so you may need to think about an extraction fan to pull air and heat out with some carbon filtering for smell stealth with 360W of lighting going in.

Looks like you're off to a fun start. Good luck with the grow!!!! :smoking:

You know it will smell, right? Depending on the strain, you can stink up a 2 story house for weeks during blooming. Actually had someone visiting once ask if I had skunks near the property. lol
