New Grower first time grow ever

Yeah I understand the amount of lumins or watts I'm supposed to have but a buddy had great results on a 1000 watt plus a 400 watt..
I plan on adding 2 more 1000 watt lights but already sunk enough money into my first attempt and was making sure I really wanted to grow or if i could grow..

No J not rude at all. I just don't agree with the statement that less bulbs on a light mover = better if the measurement of better = the size and weight of the buds. But if measurement of better = less heat and electricity usage and a bit more even light spread then yes definitely. Anyways thanks for clearing up your good intentions. I'm the same. Peace bro.

Cobra man you're doing a fantastic job. I'm sure in time you'll do better and better which means one day you'll be amazing if this is the high level you are starting at.

Out of curiosity what substrate/medium are you growing with and what has been your feeding schedule like and what nutrients are you using?

I will post pics tonight ,they grew a lot since I made the first post 5 days ago..

Happy frog soil ,straight water for 2-1/2 weeks every 3 days...2-1/2 weeks started using 1/4 strength fox farms big grow , about 4-1/2 weeks started them on big bloom n tiger bloom ..I water now when the plants feel light..which is almost every other day..now I'm up to half strength on nuts.20/4

humidity is steady around 50% and temp is 77*

you and everybody else, could use more light:cool:what you have is most adequate.:check:and if you add another light, it will be better!:peace::Sharing One:

Temperature and humidity is perfect.

You probably know yourself that humidity will raise as your plants get bigger.

What are your temp and humidity at night?

Yea more pics would be cool :)

the tops of my walls have a 12 inch gap to ceiling so i can control humidity and temp..i also have a dehumidifier on the outside of the room
lights turn off at 12:00 am and come back on at 4:00 am..i have not been checking temp and humidity when lights are off but was thinking about putting a heater on a timer half hour after lights go off and shutting off about 5 minutes before they come back on..my basement is like 60-65 degrees right now..

I run mine 24 hours a day in veg stage. The less you fluctuate the temp as sprouts the bigger they will be. Autos will do just as good if not better with 24 hours of light IMO. That is why they are autos

sounds cool

Get yourself a digital hygrometer. The type that has min/max daily temperature and humidity. ;) Essential.

If the night time temperature gets too low and the humidity gets too high, try running the lights off during the warmest part of the day.
