Hi guys new too the site and pretty new to growing. Only ever done autos as thought 8t would be easyier for a noob turns out not so thought i would ask the help from auto dedicated site.
Currently on my second grow white widow auto and cheesy auto. My first grow a did in a small chest freezer under cfl and a 6 litre pot and I only got 9g out of it which I wasn't too bothered because of the factors involved and being my first grow so with second grow I went with a better set up

250w duel spec hps light and cooltube
Secret jardin 60x60x150 tent
5 inch fan and filter
5 inch passive intake
2 oscillating fans
2 x 10 litre airpots
Biobizz all mix soil
Biobizz grow and bllom nutes

I was expecting near the ounce mark per plant but when I harvest the white widow dryed and cured it only got 6 grams too say I was gutted was an understatement. The cheese has 2 weeks left already started flushing and thinking I am proberly only get about 10 grams off that. After reading loads online and asking friends for advice the only thing I have came up with is my light distance, not enough nutes or maybe just crappy seeds (pyrimid seeds auto white widow?)
When I say light distance I mean maybe having my light too close too the plant about 1 2 inches above the top bud and off the top of the plant all through the grow. Dont know if that would stunt the plants causing them not too stretch out as much as they should? The plants have been quite small 30 cm at the most. I have moved the light too 15cm away and the cheese has stretched abit more put think it too late anyway as its only got 2 weeks left.

White widow before it was chooped

Cheese the now put scrog net in to see what it looks like for next grow buds are startin to go too the squares after 2 3 days
Not sure about the nutes been feeding them every 2 3 days when the pots feel light started nutes after week 3 from seed gradually going too full doses after 3 4 feeds 1ml per litre of bio grow and 4ml per litre of bio bloom upping too the full 4ml over a space of 3 weeks feeding the pllants 1 litre each feeding or watering doing a feed feed water routene then stopping all nutes for flushing at final stage 2 weeks

Only the other thing I can think of is the seeds and going with the time schedules that come with them.
White widow before the chop amd cheese the now put th3 scrog net in to see how it looks for the next grow been in there a few days and buds and sctretching for the squares

So alot of info for my first post but thought I should give as much info as possible too see if anyone can help me out as I am puzzled by it and will be doing my 3rd grow soon sweet seeds auto trainwreck and really not wanting to fail at this one thanks in advance guys.

Welcome aboard Martin ... you did a lot right ... sometimes the first few grows aren't as productive as they could be ... small pot = small yield ... most times you would be better off w/ BioBizz Light mix soil instead of All mix ... scrog isn't needed for a few grows ... you got it from seed to bud ... now all you need to do is get some size ... nice looking buds ... next grow use at least a 3 gal pot (airpot or not) and mix the Light Mix w/ 25% perlite ... Light and fan are OK ... start half strength BioBizz Grow at about 10 days ... fill your pots to the top ... wait until the plant is fully in flower before feeding bloom nutes ... use water w/o chlorine or chloramines ... a successful grow starts w/ choice of pot and what goes into it ... start a journal here even before you start the next one and you'll get lots of help ... I grow w/ LEDs so I can't advise you re. light ... stick around and you'll be supplying your family and friends in no time ... nice looking plants ...

Thanks for the reply Chester will start one up tomorrow at some point so do you think the 10 litres are too small? Just got somemore 10 litres as thought it would be plenty just growing for myself so as I said will be happy with an oz a plant would that be doable in the 10 litres or a should I go upto a 15 20 litre

I don't use a small pot unless I'm trying to grow a small plant ... I used to use 3 x 3 gal pots in a similar space ... I've cut it down to 1 plant in either a 3 or 4 gal pot in that space ... sometimes an airpot / sometimes a plastic nursery pot ... smaller pots are harder to grow in w/ lower yields ... if you can return them great ... if not maybe you can stack 'em ... not as effective but ...

W/ one plant in a 2'x2'x5' space similar to yours I can reliably yield 3-4 oz every 3 months w/ a 180 actual/true watts of quality LED ... I think you could do about the same w/ your light ... being new though it's good to grow 2 plants to better your odds ...
:vibe:

Actually 10 L airpots should be OK ... I thought I read earlier that they were 6 litre ...

My ability to help is limited for a while due to my being away from home ... I'll try to keep any advice affordable ... first I would look at your soil ... I'd use light mix ... I'd mix that w/ at least 25% perlite ( MG perlite is OK but not MG soil ) ... fill the pot to the top ... when filling pot wet bottom half of soil ... place seed 1/4" deep and gently wet the area around the seed w/ most chemical free water you can find ... you can soak the seed for a day prior to planting ... as the seed sprouts water the first few days in a circle around stem about 2" from stem ... use enough water to reach lower half of pre wetted soil ... you want to train the roots to grow down first and then fill the pot so each time you water, give it enough to soak deep into the pot ... try not to just wet the surface and then as your plant grows give it more water in larger circles ... the idea is to first train the roots to go deep and then train the roots to reach to the edge of the pot but doing it w/ as little water as possible because you don't want a soggy pot ... at 10 days to 2 weeks begin w/ 1/2 strength BioBizz Grow ...

Here's a friend's plant in a 3 gal pot that is about 6 weeks old ... he just puts a seed in a pot w/ used soil and waters it haphazardly using very hard well water ... he uses a true 180 watt quality LED ... I just quartered a Flower tab and stuck it in a few days ago ... this plant was vegged on BioBizz grow ... it will produce close to 3 oz ... I consider it to be a little behind ... I could be wrong and it might be a week or two younger than it looks ...

No LST ... No advanced growing techniques at all ... Doesn't even own a ph meter ... Just plug and play ... Happy Frog soil ...

Thanks again mate are you meaning not too germ the seed in a papertowel first amd just stick it straight in the pot amd thats some plant would love mines to be like that. Whats the diffrence between the all mix and light mix? I thought the allmix has more nutes in it too help the plant in the early stages, as too wstering I have never doaked the bottom half of the soil before always just gilled the pot up and soaked a ring round where the seed was planted but very little wter intill theres a good bit of leaves then watering a ring starting from the outside of the pot too the inside about an inch away from seedling

Some autos will do well in All mix ... some won't ... anything w/ nutes in it is generally a no-no w/ autos ... causes stunting ... nothing is written in stone but you want the odds in your favor ... I start in the pot because the moment the tap root emerges I want it to be in soil, not waiting to be in soil ... soaking the seed for a day is OK but I've only done it a few times ... my watering circle starts 2" way from seedling because the roots grow from the stem ... may find you prefer to do 3-4 wet spots instead of a circle ... train the roots down then out ... a happy seedling in loose soil will have roots to the bottom of a 3 gal pot in about 4 days .... then train them to head to the outside of the pot ... keep the spot where the seed is planted moist until it is about 3 days old ... my friend loves to tell me that my techniques aren't necessary to grow a good plant ... he's right but I prefer the odds be in my favor ... my friend uses well water and lives near to the Dolomite Lime quarry ... I consider his water magic and I'd love to have it to grow with ... lights on 24/7 start to finish or 20/4 if you can ...
