New Grower First plants Clawing and Discoloration day 23

Update not looking good :( that one leaf crinkled up in a couple hours..
It's best to remove the yellow leaves. Also as with any light, the difference of intensity each inch makes a huge difference. The top of that plant (if still 10 inches from LED) is way too close. The bottom of the plant isn't getting enough light. I consider keeping the canopy even is the most important job of the grower (look up LST). As far as a first grow, it's looking great and you'll make harvest no problem. Consider buying a loupe now, as you'll need one to judge the best time to harvest.

Just to give you an idea. Here's a pic of my canopy.

oh okay I see what you mean and that looks great! I will try that out on a half of the plants next grow ( just Incase I mess it up I don’t want to stunt em all at once lol) . It’s about day 40 and the bud is looking a little different, Orange/color on the bud leaves, this is normal right? I know it’s a noob question lol but I’ve never seen it at this stage. The breeder says 23 more days, do you think that’s close to true?

They are looking good. It's hard to say on how many days left, each plant is different. Try to grab a jewelers loupe off amazon.. Maybe 10-20. You'll have to look at the trichomes and see what color they are. There's clear, cloudy and amber. Some people wait until there's 10% amber, others might wait for 50% amber. I personally take them when I start seeing hints of the amber trichomes. When they change color from cloudy to amber, this is actually the degradation of THC. You can grow 3 clones (genetically identical) and take them at different times. They will each have a slightly different taste and effect. There's a spectrum for taking plants, call it a window of 14 days. The better you get at it, the smaller that window will become.

Thanks for the tips I really appreciate it, from reading I think I would like to harvest at mostly all cloudy with the least amount of amber I can, I’m thinking about 5% too, and I was thinking I could let one of the other plants get a lil more amber to see what the difference is, I heard the amber is CBN and makes it more relaxing and less “heady”

Here is an update, they are still going, I’ve been snipping the leafs as they get too bad and dead looking, how’s it looking to y’all?

the one in the back right is the perfect color without any coloration, must have stronger genes or something because they have all been treated the same...and to think I almost culled that one because it had a seed head for 10 days and I couldn’t get it off lol

They are looking really good for a first run. They could be ready in the next 3 weeks. What I like to see with my plants is the leaves facing upwards, in a V shape. That's when I know they are happy. When they are drooping from the bottom up, it's usually thristy... If they droop from the top down, it's usually flooded or lights are too intense. These are general rules and real test would need to be made to confirm.... Either way, they will be rewarding.

Wow! I’d be happy with 3 weeks! If anything I will take one down and let the rest mature more if they need too, I noticed today a lot of what I think is trichomes on the sugar leaves and buds, I was wondering why they had there leaves pointed up, I thought it might be taco so I turned my light down to about 70%, it was about 80%. These are the trich pics, I’ve never seen this many in my life BAE86BB8-4E63-4513-9D12-C54E3112D629.jpegE55F487E-8F5D-4A4D-833B-A26B8E230F1F.jpegB951FEF2-C5F5-4FAD-889F-D81C18CC4D0C.jpeg51788284-A158-4E1A-8008-6C243BD7505D.jpeg

They could be ready in 3 weeks. Could be 6 more. Gotta' order the loupe. For a first run though, I'd say you've done pretty well.

thank you so much!

Today I got a new blue lab PH meter and my old one apparently was off and I’ve been giving it 6-6.1ph water...I did notice some more yellowing today, and just fixed and fed 1.25 gallons of 6.5, and some bloom feed, I hope I did not cause more damage watering 6ph instead 6.5...some leaves are kind of shriveling
