Day 20 from sprout
I was not planning on doing a photo update so soon but, the growth has merited it. They grow so steadily that I am finding out the growth can just go unnoticed until compared to prior photos. I am glad I was talked into making this photo journal because it helps put the growth stages into perspective and look back on what was done wrong and what was done right.

Herbal, I do have a question specifically for you. When should I begin LST? If they are not ready to begin bondage will you let me know when they look like they should begin being tied down?

I have been talking myself out of going into a bigger grow space. I still lack a great deal of experience so, I think I am going to stick with the smaller pc grow box for now. However, I am not competely happy with a 4x 23w setup. I have been looking into the 200-300w feliz dual spectrum lights. I was looking at the low wattage HPS lights but, the dual spectrum aspect seems like it would be more beneficial. I suppose it all depends on what my weed turns out like this time around. Who knows? The 4x 23w array might pleasantly surprise me!

as lst/bondage goes -- you are good to start once the plant has established roots and/or.
with your current plant -- you can start the lst no problem
- you can let it grow a little taller
or
- you can go ahead and tie the first 2 string on the opposite 5 leaf sets
if you can go ahead and afford/put up a bigger space -- i personally would.
you know what they say: bigger lights/pots/space = bigger plants (bigger than a pc thats for sure!)
with that said tho -- there is nothing wrong with sticking with the pc until you get more experience under your belt.
the more you know about the plants/problems etc -- the better you are the next round and experience will pay off from there.
as long as you have the temperature in check (main issues for us micro users) -- it comes down to plant watering/feeding and some tlc.
definitely continue to read and absorb as much info as you can -- theres plenty of information out there to be had!
thanks pal, i am going to be putting some ties on the bottom five leafs tonight and then i'll rearrange as the side nodes begin to move outwards. i just lined my containers with zip ties so i have anchor points. the root system is definatly in a good place. i found little fuzzy roots trying to poke through my auto pot fabric i re-purposed to line these small containers. this subculture-b is really working magic. i have never seen so many little fuzzies on the roots before

i am out of teflon tape which is what i have used in the past to tie them down. i have to go to wally world tommorow or the next day and find something to tie them down with. i am thinking yarn this time around.
A quick trip to the getting place and I decided to go with yarn and pipe cleaners for tie downs. I have tied down all the fan leaves to expose internodes to the light.
Also, since last last night, one of them has shown sex! The other should probably show in the next day or two. It's a girl!
