Hi everyone, I'm ready to start my journal finally.
Grow room
8x8x30 closet in a bedroom. Its a brick building so kinda hard to control temp. I try to keep it around 80 with a RH of around 80 percent. Isn't always that, but we manage. It's covered with maylar.
Lights
2, 400 watt HD grow lights and 1 t-5 light. It' set up to have the 400 bulbs on each end of the grow room and the t-5 light in the middle. We have them set up so we can adjust the height of each light. We also have 400 watt HPS bloom bulbs to change when it's time.
Grow set up.
I'm using 5 gal DWC system with 10 inch baskets. We are putting in 5 of them, with clay pebbles as media. We have a 951 GPH air pump. That seems to be enough air to the buckets. I am having air stone problems, maybe you could tell me what you are using. The one I'm using is not an aquarium air stone, it's a black ring with cross sections, it's made out of some sort of tube that is very porous. Sorry I can't remember right now what it is called.
Food
Dyna-Grow, Dyna-grow Bloom-1 teaspoon per gal
Aromor-Si-1/2 teaspoon per gal
Hydrogrow- 1 teaspoon per gal.
Cal/Mag if it is needed.
Seeds
Reserva Privade Purple og # 18, Auto Pounder, Auto Ammesia, Candy Kush and a Mystery seed.
Air Flow: we have 2-4 inch fans on the 400 watt bulbs going in to the attic, because of temp control, we are not using them. It' cold here now. We have a 14 inch fan close to the ceiling, blowing across the plants. We have a 20 inch box fan at the other end of the grow room blowing out. The PH is around 6.0. I think that's it for the set up. Any comments or suggestions will be appreciated.
We started germination on 12/13/2015 using wet paper towels. On the 20th we put them into there new homes. They are about 3 inches tall. I'm new to autos so I will be asking for advice and opinon. I read and have had some people tell me that an auto bloom is suppose to be in veg state for 2 weeks and bloom for 2.5 months. These have been in veg for 13 days now, is this normal or am I doing something wrong? Another question I have is: Can you train auto's, with LST or any other way? Thanks for reading this.
