Hi folks

Germinated Mephisto seeds went into air pots (12 litre) with Biobizz soil 16 days ago. Temps have been pretty consistent and have now gone full spectrum with the Japanese LED. I also bought a humidifier a couple of days ago to get humidity up from 45 to 55. Plants look pretty healthy. Anyway, I need to work out what to do now.

I've been light with water so far, but tomorrow (day 17) I plan to add about 0.75 litre to each plant and a couple of biotabs, which will be the first nutrients I've added - these break down gradually.

I figure I need to keep heat about 78 and humidity about 50-55. Still messing around with light cycle and am increasingly thinking of going 24/7. Also, how much water from now on in?

And finally, what is topping? Is it worth it? Will I kill my plants?

Any advice greatly appreciated. I'm enjoying the trip.

pics or it didnt happen :eyebrows: in 3L pots i start at about 125ml and up it gradually to 1L :watering:
topping is taking the lil top bit of growth off,so it springs 2 tops inside of one  in theory yes its worth it,will ya kill em,nah its quite difficult to kill a cannabis after 3 weeks old :smoking:
good luck n keep er lit

You go to about 82f with that humidity otherwise you just have to water more or less depending on your environment.

Do you have a spec sheet for your light? It might help with your choice of 24/0 vs 18/6, save some money, and not stress your plants.

Topping

I think topping depends on the strain really. A tall stretchy plant would benefit from it. A shorter compact plant might do just fine with Low Stress Training

topping is no biggie ;) it'z basically jus snippin off the main stem above a certain node point (at which node variez w/grower), meaning u won't have a main central cola, but all the plantz energy then goez into all the side colaz instead...it'z great to do if u have height restrictionz, and along with lst, helpz to keep a nice even canopy  ppp

Thanks for your thoughts. If I was to go for 80F do you think a humidity of 45%-50% would be fine? It's a Viperspectra 450 which I'm now running on full spectrum.

I'm expecting the plants to be no more that 1 metre tall. They are supposed to be smaller, bushier plants - Orange Diesel and Northern Cheese Haze. I was going to attempt some LST, but the topping scared me. I'll have to get on youtube to check it out.

Do you measure humidity at plant level or higher in the tent?

at basic plant level is fine...it wouldn't be the same reading at a higher level, becuz humidity is moisture in the air, moisture is heavier than air, and thus, fallz ;) ppp

If you have nice air flow its fine, you just have to be proactive in watering.

Canopy level.

Where do you measure temperature?
