New Grower First Indoor Grow....Ever

Hey AJ .how long back did you switch to the DIY cob light??
About three weeks back. I upped the calmag to 3ml per gallon before then I was at 2. Guess not enough. The other plants seem to be fine though. I might have to invest in a company that produces calmag at this rate.

I add 5 ml per gallon of cal mag,i use GH calimagic,it has a lower N than some cal-mag lines. Have you seen a big difference in the growth yet?? I'll be ordering my parts tomorrow

They shot up as soon as I used changed the lights and I had them dimmed to 180 watts. I will get some better pictures of the plants soon they are growing like made and I am watering 1 liter twice a day. If you look back at my update about three weeks back you can see the difference especially in the BB Kush. I thought she was done and she went bonkers. I am afraid I should of trimmed her some so there were not so many bud sites to try and get some bigger buds per branch.

Are you using 5 in veg as well or just flower?

in veg i start lower,i work it up to the 5 per gallon by about day 30,,with the smaller plants not getting watered as much or as often there seems to be enough to keep em happy,as they get bigger and start getting watered every day/other day they will start needing more,it may be because i grow in two gallon fabric bags and the wet dry cycle happens more often,,all i have as a comparison is a recent test grow where i wasnt adding cali-magic and i had issues...you already know that coco does require a bit mor calmag, and if using LED that need increases even more, work your way up and find what keeps the plant happy,we all usually run different strains at the same time and some strains need different amounts of all nutes,

Yeah that is what i was thinking i started out at 2ml per gallon with no issues then bumped to 3ml in flower I just mixed nutes going with 5ml. BigSmo has posted a lot about cobs requiring more calmag as well. I guess we will see. I use calimagic as well.

If it's cheaper/any help, I make my own CalMag. Take Epsom salts, to desired level, add approximately double in garden gypsum. Chuck desired amounts into a bottle, agitate, serve with olive garnish:biggrin:. I'm no chemist, so I have no idea if I'm doing my stuff of not, but I haven't seen any adverse effects. Looking decent! Good luck in your final push

@Waira When you get a chance can you take a look at these pictures? Figuring cal mag and I have increased my cal mag up to 6ml per gallon it seems to have stopped. Hard to tell with the amount of affected leaves. The leaves underneath seem to be less affected mainly just on the top. I am just trying to find out if it is just cal mag or do you think it could be something else.
