New Grower First grow. Wipeout express

Day 24, all 3 plants growing well, I do have one that is showing some problems that I'm unsure of how to proceed. If anyone has any thoughts lemme know.

Environment is 72 farenheit, (22 celcius) humidity, (I don't have a humidity monitor, I will be investing in one shortly though) my best guess 30-35% rh. Declorinated tap water at 6.5 ph.

2 of the 3 have farm fox ocean forest soil with nature's living soil mixed in the bottom 1/3 of the pots, both in a 3 gallon. 1 is in a 5 gallon with just ffof and no super soil.

The plant in question has identical soil and watering routine as the other yet the other looks great. After noticing the leaves starting to curl up on the edges a little, I raised my light from about 15 inches to 20 inches above the tops of the plants. My first thought was the light was too close.

The spots however have me stumped. Since the soil with the super soil in theory should be providing enough nutrients, I assume it to be a burn, unless the microbial life isn't keeping up with the demand and I thought a deficiency, I went with deficiency and have began adding unsulphered black strap molasses to the waterings at 1 tablespoon per gallon, they have only been watered once since using the molasses. I'm keeping an eye on her and so far for the last 3 days she appears to still be growing and doesn't look any worse.

The plant with just the ffof soil had slight yellowing to the new top leaves, I'm guessing a nute deficiency since it's right around the time that the plant should be fed, one problem is I have another small batch of living soil I'm planning to use as a top soil for her that hasn't arrived yet so I decided to use a miracle grow bloom fert. (Please don't kill me!) I used about a 1/4 teaspoon in a gallon just to hopefully give her the nutes she needs until the living soil arives. But she is the biggest plant of the bunch bring in a 5 gallon.

Thanks for checking out the progress, hopefully on the next update I will have nothing but good news.

Day 25, Plant 1 top left, plant 2 bottom, plant 3 top right. Plant one and 2 both use ffof with super soil. Plant 3 just ffof soil for now. Plant 2 showing slower growth than 1 and 3 but still showing growth with each day. Today I removed 2 leaves showing issues, they looked like they were dying but the rest of the plant looked healthy. I watered 1 and 2 today with another tablespoon per gallon of black strap molasses. Watered enough to get a runoff so I can get a ph reading to see if that can shed some light into a potential problem. Sure enough I had plant 2 runnoff poured into a cup and got ready to to take a reading and spilled it on my carpet :baked:. The water however was very dark and muddy looking, to my dismay looking at my carpet. I did manage to get a ph reading of plant 1 and read 6.3 runoff, the water going in was 6.5. The water looked much cleaner than plant 2, not sure why since everything about them has been done the same with waterings and the same soil mix.

I got 1 pound of super soil in today, I will be using it as a top dressing for plant 3 starting on the next watering for her.

Day 27, pistils appearing on all plants.
Did some additional lst on plant 1 and 3, 2 still has some leaves showing spots bit still growing like a champ, she is however staying much shorter and more bushy than 1 and 3, I'm guessing at this point she is a different pheno. Plant 3 soil still slightly moist from her last watering, waiting for it to dry some more before adding a top dressing of super soil. Also, plant 1 showing some slight white of the edges of the leaves, not bad but just barely noticeable, I raised the light 2 inches.

Getting bushy and looking good! Keep tying them down and they will fill out in a short time.

Thanks fullauto, they've been exploding with growth this week, I'm sure I'll need to do additional tie downs soon, hopefully they won't get too much more vertical, I only have about 4 more inches I can raise my lights while keeping it 18 to 20 inches (45 to 50) cm above the canopy. I'll need to do some work on the closet to get it any higher.

I know the feeling!

At this stage you can really gain more tops with LST. I wasn’t as aggressive as I could have been. They look great!
