Lift the containers and feel how heavy they are and feel that weight water whenever the plants get really light. It is better to go by this instead of the top of the soil looking dry especially under HPS. Water if they need it but when they are little they don't need that much water just keep the soil moist at the roots. DONT over water.

How do you know the roots are moist without watering to run off?

Decided to add Auto Berry Ryder to this grow. I am going to give Coco another shot since I already have everything, seed is currently soaking and Coco is already prepped. This time I added Perlite to the Coco and pre-charged it with 50% strength Canna Coco a+b and Rhizotonic.

Soil was really dry up to about 3 inches down so I added about a cup of PH'd water to each bucket.

Then we have the Auto Berry Rider in Coco at 2 days old



Been having a Humidity problem, I get it up to around 50% then during the time I'm at work and while I'm sleeping it drops to around 25% and the top 3-4 inches of the soil gets completely dry. I'll be getting a Humidifier this Friday after work, hopefully the Hi / Low swings don't hurt anything until then.

Humidity is so hard to control it is long periods of too high or low that will really effect the plants, but you are naturally going to have fluctuations with lights out being 10-20% higher especially with HPS lights. Also you can use a foliar misting of the plants with the lights on mid day to help combating day time dips.

I don't get the high periods, I'm running the lights at 24/0. So it's either good humidity or to low.

Would it be safe to add some Canna Rhizotonic to the soil grow even though its meant for Coco?

Update on pics, they seem to be doing good although I have to water in the morning and at night.

I picked up a Humidifier last night and its working wonders, didn't even have to water them this morning.

I got a great deal on this at $40 from Craigslist this morning, has 2x 3000k 24w bulbs and 2x 6500k 24w bulbs: http://www.hydrowholesale.com/sun-system-new-wave-t5-fluorescent-fixture-2-4-lamp-5089, I figured it would help since I only have the two HPS lights, I may order two more 6500k bulbs to replace the 3000k.
