New Grower First grow. Some ventilation questions

Thanks for all the info so far everyone. It has been very helpful to a complete neophyte trying to figure out what he needs for a grow tent setup.

I am looking to setup a grow tent in a large, unfinished basement. It is a rental so at this point I am not considering cutting into any existing structures to vent and am planning on venting into the the large wide open basement. My major concern here is stealth. Do others have experience with this type of setup? Are you able to eliminate the smell?

I have identified most of the major components that I would like to purchase. I have tried to identify top quality components that will not only maximize stealth factor, but will last with me for several years.

Gorilla Grow Tent - 4x4
MarsHydro II 700w LED
Vortex 6" inline fan, 6" carbon filter, and 6" ducting
6" Horticontrol dust shroom
5 gallon fabric smart pots

I know that most members will consider the light underpowered for the tent. My concern right now is setting up a stealth tent that will produce some flowers, looking to augment or replace lights once i have a couple grows under my belt and know better what i want.

At this point I am mostly looking for feedback on what to expect from the ventilation system as I have imagined it. Basically the dust shroom covering the intake portal for a passive air intake, with the carbon filter attched directly to the fan inside the roof of the tent and venting out the tent through the ducting. Anyone have a better way to set this up?

Also not entirely sure how the dust shroom works. Does it just sit by itself in the intake portal, or do you attach a short stretch of ducting to it throught the portal?

Any advise on setting up is much appreciated.

How many plants do you plan to grow? If several, you might want to consider two lights, either of less wattage or two of the Mars 700 watt. I am from the school of better led light coverage versus one stronger light for several plants.

You might want to check out a Variac Controller for your inline fan. Additionally, I run my led lights through a voltage regulator.

Thanks for the reply. I was thinking for first grow to do 4 plants to increase the likelyhood that I will achieve some kind of yield. Once i feel a little more confident I think I may try to scrog 2 plants. Again...I understand that the light situation is likely to be lacking some, but i am looking to get a couple grows under my belt prior to making a larger investment in lights
