New Grower First Grow: Northern Lights and Jack Herer

Day 55 Northern Lights. Main cola is 30-32 cm long.






She has some dark spots on the few upper leaves; i dont know what causes them, I would be grateful if experienced eyes can make some comments.



It is my first grow so I dont know how long more. it is the end of 8th week tomorrow. I guess another 3 weeks? maybe less...

Front one is Jack Herer in 5th week. she will be taller than NL.




And my grow box there is even an ip camera in it. when i miss it in the day time i take a peek actually i check the temperatures when i am at work.

Northern Lights Day 82

Jack Herer Day 60

I am struggling with heat issues. The temps. In the place I live are around 29-30 C these days. Summer already arrived. So it is really hard to keep the temperatures down. The grow box sits in an area w/o AC.

NL has some leaf claw for the past 3 weeks. Upper leaves are clawing, most probably because of heat. Jack Herer doesn't seem that much effected by heat.

Pics are below. When to harvest NL is my question. I am not giving any nutes to her for a week now.

Couldn't tell you when to chop the NL though. Looking at the pic it would seem she'd be happy to go on for a week or two if you'd let her. How do the trichomes look? already all cloudy or still mostly clear?

they are mostly cloudy, few ambers... i just hesitate to chop cause i see life in her leaves. still giving new pistils... so probably i will wait for another week. I have ordered a usb microscope and expect it to arrive soon. I will immediately share pics of trichromes asap it arrives.

Auto Northern Lights Day 86

Thinking about harvest tomorrow!

Flushing for 12 days.

Trichromes: very few clear 80-90 percent milky 10-20 percent Amber. I would prefer head high.

I need your opinions please, looking at the leaves.

Yeah man, If the trichs are to your liking go ahead and chop. When you wait longer you'll get more amber trichs too.

If you harvest now, you can start the next grow even faster (if the heat will not get any worse). I tried some of mine yesterday with clear tricks on day 45. It was a definitely a head buzz, hardly any body effects.

Northern Lights: Harvest at 86th day, 14 days cure. Humidity in jars 60-61 %. Total weight after cure 68 grams. Best smoke I have ever had because it is my first own grow. I am happy with this result. Jack Herer 1-2 weeks to go. Jack Herer was really effected by the summer heat. I expect 30-35 grams from it. She was not as strong as Northern lights. After curing of Jack Herer I will post that results too. I ordered from mephisto I accept them to arrive soon. My next grow will be mephito which I am very very inpatient. Peace.

Jack herer surprised me much I was expecting less but since it was my first grow It was hard for me to look at the plant and guess the weight. Jack Herer is on the first week of cure smell is just amazing.
They both have a long lasting high 3-4 hours. NL has more of a body relaxing effect. Jack Herer is really amazing considering high and smell.

I used Greenhouse powder feeding for NL. I had Calcium deficiencies since it didn't have calcium in it. I used extra Cal/mag.

For Jack herer I bought nutrients from a huge local commercial greenhouse warehouse. It was their own product two part liquid fertilizer. They produced it for hobby tomato growers. I can say I am really impressed with it. I paid 10 USD for 2x1 liter bottles.

I used dulux PL-L 55watt x 4 flourecent lights. For the first 3 weeks there were 2 x 6500 K in the cabin. After 3rd week there were 3x2700 and 1x6500.
It was a very good adventure.

Now I have my mephisto seeds I am inpatient to grow them but it is summer now, very hot one, and I don't want to waste them.
