Growbox: Homemade 2,5 x 3,5 x 5 styrofoam 2 layers aliminum sheet coated between layers for the light proof. Styrofoam is supported with plastic brackets to be able to hang the lights in. Will post a detailed picture of it soon.

Light: 110 Watts (55X2) Dulux Osram for 6500K veg., 220W (55X4) Dulux Osram 2700K for flowering. Aliminum reflector. I purchased the equipments lights, balasts, cables and made all the connections and setup myself.

Biobizz Light mix & Perlite 70% and 30%

Temp. And hygrometer. Humidifier very soon will be in box.

Simple easy cheap setup for small hobby homegrow.

Growbox cost was around $ 20
Lights. $ 70
And my handwork

Seeds: GHS Northern Lights, Jack Herer
I ordered Jack 2 days after NL, it hasn't arrived as of today. I have already contacted GHS they asked to wait a week more for a solution. NL arrived 14 days ago. And she is on her 12th day after germination. Germination was quick and easy.

At the time being 24/0 lights no nutes watered only once. And only 1 pot of NL in the box.

Pot: 11 Liters

I will switch to 18/6 and I will use GHS Powder Feeding short flowering type.

Not so many use Dulux PL Osram lights and powder feeding in the forum if I am not wrong, therefore I hope it will be a good guide for future growers.

Does she look healthy to your eyes?

When shall I start nutes? And when shall I switch to 18/6? uploadfromtaptalk1426071920990.jpguploadfromtaptalk1426071961484.jpg

It is first time I am attaching pictures in this forum I hope I will manage it.

Stay High brothers.

Hello there - welcome to AFN! :)

I can see the pictures just fine!
Sounds like you're making a good and very frugal start to growing!! Nearly all of it looks great.

We take the safety of our members very seriously at AFN and as such, please don't be offended if some people (including myself) offer you some safety advice in regard to the enclosure of your grow box.

Styrofoam is essentialy polystyrene which is Highly flammable and gives off noxious gases when burning.
From Wiki: Polystyrene is classified according to DIN4102 as a "B3" product, meaning highly flammable or "Easily Ignited."

We just don't want you to burn your house down for a handful of buds!

Everything else looks good! :d5:

You can stick with the 24/0 light schedule or you could drop it to 18/6 - i personally use 20/4 all the way with success.

Happy (and safe) growing buddy!
Blue ^_^

Thank you blue. I will never be offended clever suggestions by experienced people. I had the same doubt about flamibility since I am a chemical engineer, I was bought by its light weight and price. I will change the walls very soon. Plywood with white paint I am planning. I am very glad to hear your suggestions.

Plywood with white paint I am planning

That sounds perfect mate!! :)
I've found flat white walls to work as well (reflectively) as mylar does and is a lot less effort to keep clean! :)

I don't know anyone else using powedered feed, so i'll be interested to see how she does!
They're looking lovely and healthy at the moment! :d5:

I'd take a look to see if your terracotta pot has drainage and you dont sit it on a flat floor (or better .. put the pot on little "feet") - it will stop your soil getting waterlogged and help push any salts through (when you start feeding) that shouldnt ideally be there.

Pot is plastic and I have drilled around 15 1/4 inch holes under and it is sitting on a plate. Drainage seemed good in my trial before planting. If my other order of Jack Herer arrives I will put it in a square 11 liter pot. I am inpatient to receive Jack Herer my baby girl needs a sister :)

Welcome Myhighness..I'm interested in your grow..So I'll be hanging arould to watch your gal's...I'm a NL fan but mostly from the outdoors and photo world..Thinking about them in a future grom myself..

Thanks:peace:

Thank you HD Grower. As a first grow I kept it conservative to gain experience. I myself am very curious too... altogether we will see how it goes :)
