New Grower First Grow. Newbie

Just finished soaking my first seeds. Dropped them all in rapid rooters in 5 gal smart pots. Will be running a 600 watt mh/hps grow light in 4 by 4 by 7 tent after they pop up. With a pro mix soil mix with added perlite and vermiculite. Nutes from General Hydroponics.

Planted the following strains
-Northern Lights x Big Bud Ryder from World of Seeds
-Blue Mystic from Nirvana
-Blue Amnesia XXL from Dina-fem
-Green Crack from Fast Buds

Seedlings roughly 4 to 5 days today. Seem to be growing slowly, but could be me being impatient as well. I had been running light at roughly 23 inches above plants. Dropped to 11 to 12 inches last night reading on here slow growth may be from light being to high. Light schedule is 20/4. I am using a 600 watt mh light with air cooled tube. Temps have been staying 74 to 79. With humidity around 45 to 53. I have only watered small amounts trying to make them search out for it. Today I gave them roughly 2 cups of water each. Plants in a 5 gal smart pots. Using tap water with a natural ph lvl of 6.7. Water was spread out around plant few inches off of stem. I did use hand method to ensure light is not to close. Any input or suggestions greatly appreciated
