New Grower Fast Buds GSC

A little more about my watering setup.

For the tent I run a 50 litre res with air stones and a wavemaker on 24/7. The feed pump then runs into a irrigation piping ring which circles around the edge of the grow space which the pot feed rings are connected onto. All of my pots sit in a waterproof tray which collects the run off. Tray is set up to run into the drainage hole which drains into the waste collection tub that sits on the tent floor. Then I just pump out the waste tub as it gets full.

I also put air stones in the bottom of the pots and aerate my coco 24/7. Oxygen supply in the root zone is a growth factor so why the hell not. Seems to be working ok so far.

Started lst on the 6th September. I cut a piece of trellis net to fit the size of the pot. Then I carefully place it over the plant pushing it through the centre of the trellis. I connect the trellis to the edges of the fabric pot with tie wire and it's ready to go. This method gives you heaps of point to tie down to and allow you to spread it nice and low across the whole top of your pot. I use plant ties to tie down, just loop the tie around the branch and trellis but do not twist the tie otherwise it'll cut into your branch later on as they get bigger.

Nute schedule stays the same as previous post. No signs of stress or burn and growth is kicking along. I'll take updated photos tonight so you can check out how they are doing.

Cool way to lst!! Will allow you to keep the plants nice and even to I would think

Yeah mate, I usually keep them tied as low as a I can and spread them right out. Then I let them go after that and the canopy ends up fairly even.

All the girls went into the 4 X 4 gorilla grow tent on the weekend and everyone seems pretty happy so far.

Did another 2 rounds of lst. One on the 13th and another today. Snapped the main stem on the bigger one but taped it back together so should be fine. I also snapped a lat right off so thought I'll try n make a clone to reverse to male and make a few seeds. I just dipped it in some clone gel and planted it into some wet Coco in a small pot. Should hopefully pull through if I'm lucky.

Nutrition is staying the same 3ml per litre of a + b with 1ml of pk, 4ml of aloevate and 1ml of supernatural. I also folair spray once a week with 2ml of aloevate, 1 ml of supernatural and .004 ml of triacontanol mixed up together in a 1 litre spray bottle.

I never really need to do much in the way of ph'ing. Every time I mix these nutes it lands on 6-6.2 and doesn't really drift from there either.

Day 42

Did another round of pretty brutal lst today. Snapped a couple more branches and then panicked running around trying to remember where I left the duct tape so I could patch them back together.

But so far things are looking pretty good. We are at day 42 and not they are just start to show the first signs of pre-flower. Today will be the last of the lst and over the next couple of weeks I'm hoping for big stretch that will totally fill the back of my tent.

I know most other autos would be in flower by day 42 but this just seems to be the way the girls roll in my little corner of the world. I would say I'd be looking at 85-100 days until harvest but it's always worth the wait.

Nutrition is still the same as the previous post but they are now getting hit with nutes hourly from 2 hours after lights on until 2 hours before lights off. At this stage I like to drop a 5 litre flush through each pot once a week of half strength base nutes. I was having a lot of trouble with nute burn and feeding problems but the weekly flushing seems to take care of that.

Looking great man!!!

I like lights. I have a habit of overdoing things, so was just a 600 R-spec enough juice for my 1.2 X 1.2 tent? Nah let's stick a 240 watt cob/diode combo board on each side just to make sure I'm just phoning it in.

So I've got about 1080 watts of led power on tap which I could never use so I adjust everything to run at about 50-60% this gives me around 600-650 watts of light and spreads the ppfd footprint a lot more evenly across the space. Heatsink capabilities are greatly improved which means less money spent on cooling during summer and the life expectancy of the driver's and diodes pretty much doubles. Cost more upfront to setup but will pay for itself in the end.

Nice!! Might as well add the uv bar to the 600 R!!!
