Indoor First Grow - Lowryder2 and Flash santa

I'm very interested in your Santas. I'm growing one atm its on day 46. I've found it to be much more sensitive to nutes than my beloved afghan kush ryder. I think its because of its sensitivity that I found a few male flowers on it, stress turning it herm. Maybe I just got a weird seed, either way the buds are starting to look great on it.

Are you feeding them the same? Ill be watching. Good luck! Oh and I worried about the slow growth erate of mine to but right at day 21 pistils everywhere and a sudden explosion in growth

The Santas: I only planted 2 hoping to get a female and both sprouted but 1 is some sort of freak plant. I will try to get a better camera to show you but its leaf pattern is not correct as it seems to be more a Y pattern than the traditional X and its got another plant from the same seed trying to grow out from under it. I am not sure what is up with that ? The other one looks fine and normal.

I wanted to cross a Santa male and Lowryder2 female to try and downsize the Santas a little and add a little kick to the Lowryders2'.

I had not really seen any detailed logs on this species yet so I was trying to use the same formula as the Lowryder2 (Automan's recipie with a splash of John Mondelo's dosing scheme *lol*) since the Santa should be a larger plant I figured this would be a fairly light nute schedule for it. Currently I am only using a 1/8 dose (1ml per 2 Litres of water of Fish Mix and BioGrow as my soil is organic and doesnt have any fertilizers in it. I used it a a few days ago very lightly and then again on Saturday as I moved the plants into 6" pots for now. I havent watered since then but the plants look fine health wise. :dance2:

Do you have pictures of your Santa? What PH was your soil and water? What amount of what did you use and at what point? Do you know what the Santa was bred from? I really cant find any info or grows on that plant and that is one of the reasons it is in this grow now. I wish Stitch would come around so we could ask him questions.

Day 13 Everything seems fine except my weird Santa. I would have thought they would have spread put a little more as there are up to 5 layers of leaves on some plants. I just watered after skipping since Saturday so they are a little droopy

Ok here is the freak Santa where I have 2 sprouts from one seed.

with a blush... What dosing scheme are you referring to ? I'm honoroed bro... ultimately though... whatever auto info I've learned I have to pass the thansk along to Wiz, Bailer, FD, NC420... and many others who helped tweak and dial me in so I could them in...

I took this for you for using as my measuring schedule for the BioBizz additives that Automan is using as I needed a straight forward plan to get a baseline grow with.

Day 7 1/4 dose to a gal
Day 14 1/2 dose to a gal + 8oz of N rated tea
Day 21 1tbsp GB and then 1/4 of TB (bringing in the TB)
Day 28 1/2 TB + 8oz of Phosphorus rated tea
Day 35 1.5 tbsp TB to a gal
Day 41 2tbsp of TB and 8oz of Phosphorus rated tea

Then I cut all the values in half for now since this is my first grow and overall yield really isnt my goal just a sucessfull first grow with something to build on. Once I have a better eye for the plants and what they needs I can turn up the volume

Day 17 Everything seems to be doing fine. I have one plant showing sex and its a male. He will have to go tomorrow. Bummer as he is the biggest of them currently.

That is my update for tonight. Just waiting for the rest to show sex so I can get the males out. They have been growing pretty well the last few days. The last watering I used 1/4 dose Biobizz Fish Mix and BioGrow.

I have a new LED light coming next week that I will be adding and some other goodies well.

I know absolutely nothing about the genetics of the santa. I've been looking everywhere for that info. Mine has very thick leafs, ver indica which is not what I expected.

My plants have pics and info in the indoor section under santa and afghan kush ryder "stealth" grow. Realize I love experimenting on my girls so don't use my pics (which are low quality anyway) as anysort of benchmark. With bap and lst my 51 day old santa is no taller than your santas.

The soil the santa and akr are in is shared and only 8L total. The akr is very happy so my plants health has nothing to do with soil ph etc.

Looking forward to seeing the new equipment put in! Are you going to do any lst?

I would KEEP the male!!!! Don't you want seeds? Isolate him or just trim em back real short and then use his pollen on a lower branch or two. Pollen is a wonderful thing to have in stock.

Looking good! Setup appears to be a much cleaner cousin of mine.

The Flash Santa comes from : LowRyder # 2 x SuperSkunk x white russian. I found that on the flash seeds site. Its new and still under construction. I may move the male outside and pair with a female depending on how many males I end up with. I have a pretty limited grow area and want to try as many strains as I think I can grow in the area I have so I am not currently looking to stock up on a bunch right now though.
