New Grower First Grow Journal

Day 25:

"'m gonna choose to stick with SIMPLE from here on out. If I'm wrong, PLEASE LET ME KNOW!. Products which include the words or prefixes like, mega, sooper, GINORMOUS(I actually fell for this one) will in the future be avoided"

.

Bingo! You've hit the nail right on the head! The KISS principal should be every growers code! As you are starting to see, 99% of what"s sold as " bud enhancers, bloom boosters, sweetners, etc, are all bogus, huge wastes of money. In an interview about these producrs, one maker even abmittred they were useless, but said he has to sell them to keep up with the other nute makers............. They are designed to remove huge piles of cash from your bank account so that they make huge piles of cash in the bank for the maker........... This is partly why I've stopped doing hydro as the nutrient industry is so full of shit when it comes to canna nutes. This is why I've gone organic. If you want simple, look at my Dirt Cheap Organic Grow thread, I'm using recycled soil and worm castings, that’s it. I'm betting that my plants will grow just fine and give me good bud. Future plans are to attempt to grow a 1 pound + plant in organic soil, I want to see if organics can really compete with DWC, I say it can!

Pop,

Well said! Y'know, when I'm finally done living on the coast and move...my plan is become an organic gardener...I already have some experience. Can't wait to see yer thread!!!

...it's all about the $$$...

I'm with Pop on the KISS. I have a couple friend's that have seen my result's and for some reason they complicate the hell out of it and run their elaborate plan's by me and I keep telling them to KISS.lol

Could not agree more with KISS, my BIG mistake has always been seeing something and attacking it with more, when really, stepping back was what was needed.

Growing this way has changed my whole approach. Now I come in the room in the morning look at them, get close and look some more. Water if needed. Smell them, especially the ones in flower. Look to see where I can fit another one....lol! But I don't fuss over them anymore. In fact, I feel so good about growing this way, I'll be shocked if I find a problem because I really don't expect any. I've not had one problem with my soil grows since I got my RO filter.

+1
My soil mix is FAR from perfect right now but is doing the best ever because I'm just letting it do it's thing.

Hope you didn't knock over Dani, she's the best looking plant there is. And I HAVE metamorphosis I didn't like ;)

Thanx fer stoppin by 'lileggwoman'!

...as a matter of fact, Cookers, it was 'Dani' I dropped on her head. Blame Heaven Hill Select Stock Kentucky Straight Bourbon 131 proof...or not! Yet...she lives! I expect to get a nug outta her. However, since I have had the BEST success on my FIRST grow utilizing smartpots 'n coco, I'll leave the drip hydro to heirloom tomatoes as a learning curve...not NEARLY the traumatic failure consequences!!! Lose a tomato plant? Meh. Lose a feminized/autoflower wonderful, beautiful, relaxation inducing nugget of wonderfulness...um...slit mah facking wrists!!! So, that being said, YOU have convinced me to continue my NEXT grow using smartpots w/coco. Leave the 'automation' alone for now.

...and we all thought you were infertile!
