Live Stoner Chat First Grow ever, New to the site and need some advice Along the way.

Hey guys im just starting out and will be starting my grow in the next week or 2 just have one or two bits that need doing before i start. Now i have a question if anyone would be so kind as to help me out. I got my kit second hand but its in really good knick but whats strange to me is that the ballast says that it supports both hps and mh 400w each.
Now im just wondering would be ok to start six seeds under one 400w mh bulb and then after 3 weeks change over to the 400w hps? Can anyone steer me in the right direction at all.

Welcome to AFN! Im to new to growing to offer advice on that, but i would recommend posting this information in the new growers forum. The traffic it will get in there will be much more beneficial to you. Tons of people with great info are in there all the time! GL with the grow bud :thumbs:

Welcome to the site you could definitely use a mh then switch to a hps if you wanted. Good luck with your grow I'll keep an eye out for it :smokebuds:

I believe you've already been answered about the light, but yes. That schedule is good. You can even wait until veg(vertical) growth completely stops if you continue to feed veg nutes until about week 5-6. And then change to your HPS in full flower.
