New Grower First grow, Earthbox and autopot XXL 9gal, Night Owl Wizard's Stash Remix

I know its hard to see in the pic but when I pulled on the side of the earthboxes I can see a wall of glorious white roots taking hold :jump: it makes me feel like I'm on the right track lol. I still have no growth on the top of the topdress which kinda worries me. It's my fault and I'll know how to mitigate it next time n that makes me excited for the next run lol.

When is a good time to defoliate? I think these could maybe use some soon. There are some lower branches that have tiny bud sites starting that get little light. Should I trim the leaves to make these sites get more light or should I trim everything lower so the energy can be focused to the upper colas? I have read that during the stretch is not a good time. Is that correct, If so when is the best time? Thank you all this has been such a blast so far :bighug:

Friday March 10th I did a second topdress. I'm not really sure if they needed it but I'm hoping they will. The plants have got pretty big. Largest is around 4ft tall.

Before I put the top dress down I watered with the items below

These are what I used in the topdressing. I have heard really good things about the biovast compost.

Before I put the topdress down I noticed you can see the feeder roots in the last topdress I did. Super cool to see.

The top cola on my biggest plant was like 6" taller than the rest. I decided to try and supercrop it. I really hope I didn't mess anything up. I did it last night, checked it today and at least its not brown and dead lol.

Day 60

I think the plants look very good. I just did a third topdress using the same ingredients as last time plus I added in some Insect fras. I've heard really good things about it. It's made from black soldier fly larve. The larvae will molt as they grow and this molting process leaves bits of exoskeleton, called chitin, in their frass. Plants react to chitin in the soil as if there are insects present. Making the plant boost its defenses which is tricome production.
