New Grower First Grow. Blueberry

Harvested on day 82.
I harvested earlier than I would have liked but I was running out of room in my tent and I was worried about getting mold because of high RH% in my tent for the past few days, RH %80.

After cutting and trimming the plant I was surprised to see the yield looked much bigger than I expected.

It looks to be around at least 50 grams but I'll wait until its finished drying to weigh on the scale.
This plant went through most of it's life without a grow tent so it had bad branch growth.

Wow man! Awesome looking buds and seems like more than 50!

I opened up the bags today because they should be just about finished drying.
The top main cola was covered in mold. It was rotten. It might have been rotting while it was still growing? or rotted in the paper bag while drying...who knows.
I cut around the mold and saved those cut buds that still look good in a open dinner plate always from the other buds.
I was thinking about smoking that first.
Is it safe to smoke the those buds around it that look ok?

I worried about other buds in the same bag but they all look good and dried enough.


total weight after scaling it all out 97 grams (put them in jars to cure now) without the bud rot piece cola which looked like it could have been 7 or 8 grams grams. buds are more than good enough to smoke already, tastes great. Tried in bong and papers and burns great too. Would have been over 100 grams if it didn't get rot.
I'm sure after a couple weeks of curing the weight will be much less but it should be enough weed for me to smoke until my next grow finishes.

Now I'm extremely worried about my current grow which is now beginning, this crazy rainy season I'm having with very high humidity might ruin my whole grow.

I have might have to find a dehumidifier hopefully affordable, if I cant find one maybe good tower fan will work to reach the top of the buds.

I'll lose a little bit of sleep tonight in fear of more bot rot, but I am more than impressed with yield from a small 1 gallon flower pot, I wasn't expecting so many buds.

Did you have the humidity around 60% for the drying in a dark cool room?

It was between 50% - 60% in my bedroom where I put them in paper bags to dry.
Newb mistake might have been keeping such a large cola and not breaking it down smaller like I did the other buds, as well as having paper bags that might be too thick, they are almost cardboard thick, but its all i could find in the stores.
Or it's possible the rot was there from since it was growing and the dry process just made it worse.

I pulled it out the bag and it was covered in cob web mold, it looked fine the day before when i checked it.
Today my GF turned the AC off in my bedroom before I left for work so the buds drying might have been exposed to high humidity the whole day.

I will try to avoid mistakes like this in the future.

The rest of the bud taste like its already cured though, no hay smell just or taste. Just sweetness.
