Ok now for my lady the ak auto, she is sooooo frosty! She was due a feed and water today but the coco was still quite damp so il give it another day a feed tomoz. She still has about 3weeks left so hopefully those lower nuggets will fatten up nicely.

And my 3rd girl the other blue treacle. She is a hungry girl feeding and Watering almost every day, with no adverse effects. There are buds appearing everywhere! The canopy Is almost completely flat around the center. From the side she looks like she has stretched a but I think having the bud sites all level is what is best (is this correct? Still learning!) have a look and let me know your thoughts grow masters....

I don't know that there is a general rule, but most LED retailers tell people that the lights need to be 18 to 24 inches from the plants. That said, a whole lot of people seem to go closer than that and get away with it without burning their plants. It's pretty important though when the plants are just seedlings to keep the LEDs a good distance away or you can burn the heck out of them when they are babies. Most people do some experimenting to find out how close they can keep the lights without burning plants. The distance away is usually relative to how many watts the light is.

Plants are pretty smart. They'll definitely find a way to tell you when the lights are too close. The smaller 50 and 100 watt LED bulbs that are often used for side lighting can be placed fairly close to your plants with no problem at all. The smaller LED bulbs don't seem to burn leaves unless a plant is actually touching the bulbs, or at least that's been my experience. :toke:

I really like LED lighting, but when your plants are little, they just love CFLs. You can include LED lighting at a maximum distance from the babes, but place your smaller CFLs just inches away from your seedlings. Out of all the different kinds of lighting, I think the cool white spectrum CFLs give baby plants the very best start. But once they get into flowing age, it's the LEDs that's going to help pack on the weight and make a much denser bud than you would normally get with most CFLs.

Thanks for taking the time for that in depth reply. Really appreciated :slap:

Thanks @Bailey just struggling with the lower nuggets fattening up so I got a few t5 3000k 2000lm bulbs and placed them low in the tent to hopefully fatten up the lower nuggets I think the cfl bulbs struggling to penetrate as my girls are getting bigger. But pleased so far. Peace

The ladies look lovely. Very impressed considering you are only using CFLs. Great job! Oh, and I looked more into me going to coco...... Let's just say that I am going to stay dirty. My plants are safer that way.

Afternoon everyone hope your all doing well.
Just a quick update on my girl blue treacle #2
Another feed and water today. Eating up about 3-4 litres a day! She needs to stop growing I'm running out of room Haha. She is far larger than the first blue treacle, although I'm assuming doesn't necessarily mean bigger yields? But I'm hoping. Only difference in the grow was I increased to full strength nutes about a week quicker and have left her under the 6500k cfl for longer, Il leave her there untill there is no more vertical growth. Let me know what you think. Peace

@Soundsystem I do believe bigger means better yields. Should have more nodes I believe. That plant is a beast.

How close to chopping is your other one?
Are you waiting for more amber in the trichs for a more stoned couchlock sensation? Just curious. I prefer energetic with a nice head change.

I am going to add cfls to my next grow simply because of what you have done with them. You rocked this.

I got both my mars 300led on eBay for $137 shipped. You can't go wrong at that price if you want to test the led water.
Have a good one bud.

Thanks @PotGuyVer for following and the constant feedback have a :slap:

My first girl is still fattening up. I started flushing her at around day 60 as the seed bank said ready in 65days but I think I should have continued feeding for another 5 or so days. I'm keeping an eye on her tricomes daily and there is probably sub 5% amber still and quite a lot of white hairs lower down. I'm hoping to harvest this weekend. I quite like a body stoned, but not quite to the extent of couch lock. It's all trial and error on our first few grows. Definitely will be having a rummage on eBay for some led lighting soon, especially if I can get some for that price! I definitely think having my girls under the cfl during her initial growth helped (although I don't have to much to compare to!)

Stay tuned..... Harvest soon peace :pass:
